The Big Day was a great album, it was just too happy of an album for a collapsing society
feel like this is going to be a great album man. been listening to some of his older joints this week and they’re so nostalgic
same, acid rap still holds up well
and i know this site was mixed on coloring book, but its got some of his best songwriting on there
the coloring book tour was great aswell, shame to see how one dud of an album f*** him up this much
The Big Day was a great album, it was just too happy of an album for a collapsing society
Don't do that, the album was dreamworkscore. S*** was happy feet, s*** was how to train your wife
The Big Day was a great album, it was just too happy of an album for a collapsing society
Peanut butter jelly with a baseball bat,
Peanut butter jelly with a, peanut butter jelly,
Y'all ain't ready for this jelly, it'll break y'all back.
There’s no possible way he could top the big day in terms of negative reception… right?
Is there a tracklist?
not a complete one, if he didnt change that one, that is. so no
There’s no possible way he could top the big day in terms of negative reception… right?
there is no way this will be worse
i'm rooting for chance. dude went from young and on top of the world to being universally panned and s*** on in his mid 20s. i know it felt like my whole high school was feasting when Coloring Book dropped and even before then, we listened to Acid Rap daily.
first time im excited for chance’s music and now this mf may not drop, cant win

Its dropping, the cds are already being shipped
There’s no possible way he could top the big day in terms of negative reception… right?
worst outcome this album is mediocre and bland
6 year wait after one of the worst hip hop projects ever for some disposable mid
it being worse or just as bad would be better somehow
Idk how he still hasn’t accepted this as a fact and readjusted. People think talent takes you to the top but it really gets you to the manager that takes you to the top.
The cold fact of the matter that every artist hates to admit is you need $$$ to break through

It’s always
“I just put the song out and was discovered by label/major artist then it blew up”

Bunch of tank-top, nappy headed bike-stealin' Chatham boys
None of my niggas ain't had no dad
None of my niggas ain't have no choice
niggas NEVER gon convince coloring book wasnt his best work man this album was beautiful.
peak of his powers. Mad excited for Star Line knowing Space & Time (which has gave me the closest feelings to these along with Link Me In The Future) is on there.
The Big Day was a great album, it was just too happy of an album for a collapsing society
I tried to make a troll thread with this exact premise once, so I relistened to the project for talking points and no, it really is that bad. It is true though that the general public were ready to hate The Big Day before it even dropped. Hip-hop had completely moved on from Chance's sound by 2019, and the only way he could ever overcome that was with an absolute masterpiece era-defining album.

Man hell nah
