american leftism:
-fight for freedom of the people against bad government unless the government is not america. in that case, f*** the people. america has the only bad government.
american rightism:
-fuck the people of america, we must invade all other countries and take their resources and make it a facade in the name of freedom.
You’re really one of the most brain dead people on this site
fedora atheists on the left, religious on the right
Fedora atheists are definitely not left wing lmao.
yeah, ok bro lmfao.
It’s a mixed bag.
People like Sam Harris and Bill Maher who are kinda the epitome of weirdo atheist nonsense are definitely not left wing

it depends more on what specific scale of politics youre using
like okay from a more specific practical theory or marxist view sure they arent left wing ofc but in normie politics sam harris & bill maher are definitely considered "left"

Yeah I get what you mean
But even by that standard they both have some pretty unabashedly right wing lines on certain things imo
Plus you look at someone like Hitchens was a borderline neocon
I guess maybe this just speaks to how similar the normie conceptions of right and left are, which also echoes some of what you we’re arguing with Durkio about in the conservative thread. Which is all the more reason to me why the Marxist understanding of these things is more appropriate

yeah i think the first thing which is important to recognize is that left/right normie politics colloquially is radically different than the radical left/right divide as seen in actual political theory. its kind of why the left/right distinction is so meaningless and redundant, because its far more about specific ideological partisanship than relationships to a simple umbrella pairing
A right-winger is someone who reads the Bible and the Constitution, a left-winger is someone who understands the Bible and the Constitution

Both people that call themselves Leftist or Rightist have no individual thought and just parrot stand-points someone else has laid out for them.

You’re so smart bro that observation was actually so crazy wow
