You just asked me why naturalized Cubans would vote for trump given their aversion to illegal immigrants and I told you it was because it wasn’t even a top 3 issue for them. I don’t understand how that isn’t an answer

saying "its not a top 5 issue" isn't an answer. im asking why would they align themselves with the policy platform of the GOP and why do other certain "latino" groups not generally do this despite being subject to the same targeted propaganda?

I gave you my answer btw, if you dont find it satisfactory I can live with that but itd be nice if you at least engaged with the ideas im presenting. I dont buy that concerns over kamala being a covert marxist is the principle concern here. regardless of who the candidate is, voting blocs are formed around actual issues.

The topic of religion being discussed alot more with the Antitrans/LGBTQ movement being pushed by trump and the right, tying in with the "woke" BS, hispanics are very religious so just enough propaganda pushing in that direction will shift some.

The overwhelming display of Left/leftist movements going alone in south america per the ever growing destruction of venezuela and problems occurring in other south american countries (Ecuador, Colombia, peru, etc) and gang violence.

The right will play into this and get folks to be more up in arms about policing and security (because this is supposed to "stop" the violence). laws and Rulings in a country that lean to the left, because of how those policies have f***ed over alot of south america, even if the Left over here isn't batshit crazy how it is over there, even on the democratic socialist side. I think many of them carry PTSD so they just see dudes getting called Left and socialist over here and will just unfortunately fall in line with that. (my mother is a pure example unfortunately lmao. She hates trump tho so it didnt work).

I also want to mention that the problems in SA are probably deeper than just "Leftist policies", but its extremely hard to get that through the head of alot of them.

Reagan era anti Castro rhetoric has and still does resonate. I don’t where the confusion lies. Me saying trump made gains among Latinos wasn’t a catch all argument for every Latino subcategory. It’s just literally what happened

that’s not true and just kinda blanket racism lol

The basis of the entire question is dumb. It’s akin to asking why pushing manufacturing plants works on the whites in middle America but not California

youre just dumb unfortunately. though I do think its funny that you implied trump voting expats in america have "trauma" over latin american "socialism", that seriously got a chuckle out of me.

I feel like we're getting attempts at an October Surprise almost daily

It's Israel killing the Hezbollah leader, then it's the Iran attack, then it's this Trump/Putin thing, then Hurricane response

But in reality I don't see any of that making much of a change in the race

Like the Trump pee tape could come out and nothing would change

if this is the October surprise then they’re f***ing idiots lol

“Oh yeah we’re going to war and announcing that we’re rebuilding after disasters please vote for us”

you don’t think there are other more effective ways to show voters you’re not a communist besides putting republicans on your cabinet?

Why are we acting like this isn’t precisely what the upper echelon of the D party wanted the whole time

who cares what "polls show"? election polling is worthless and another form of election cycle media garbage. ironically you've fallen for the "propaganda" you've just lambasted other people for buying into.

why would cubans in florida advocate for trump while simultaneously puerto ricans in the diaspora are advocating for independence from the american empire? both groups are subject to the same "propaganda" and both are "latino" so what's your explanation?

without a class outlook you can't explain this, it'll just become another conspiracy theory.

South Florida spanish talk radio is where the Fox News propaganda machine got their inspiration, they can say pretty much anything unchecked. And that's how they get those Cubans to believe that democrats are the second coming of Fidel Castro

I mean she’s talked about a lot of conservative ideas (gun owner, having a lethal military, etc) as well

Shes doing everything she can to seem conservative, to counter the “radical leftist” label and even it out
