the difficulty of US immigration is because of relevancy and demand, not because of the actual immigration process. it's hard as an individual/family but not as an abstract. the US takes more immigrants every year than any other country in the world. at any given point almost 1/5 of the entire US is foreign born - this is something like 4x the next biggest country in terms of per-capita proportion (unless you count literal slave contractors in the UAE or Saudi)
