all of these so-called 'social democrat' countries that people just love shoving in my goddamn face are pretty much white ethnostates that explicitly treat anybody non-white and non-western european as an actual second class citizen and not human. not to mention that social privileges or not theyre all still right wing conservative hellholes
This is not spoken about enough
I'm not moving my black ass to Holland, Poland, whatever

way europeans talk about immigrants and roma people in europe you might think nazism is alive and well in the minds of many. and those were my observations from years ago when i was deep into a european community that included multiple people from multiple countries
i mean s*** there are immigrant facilities in the netherlands where they literally keep immigrants of all kinds until their paperwork is resolved. my ukrainian coworker told me they couldnt get their mom from one of those s***s until after a while, like a few weeks

The stories from Europe sound like absolute hell. I know a guy who was chased down by skinheads. Luckily he got away.
as someone who experienced 'business migration' in the last couple of years i can tell you none of these 'workers' will see a dent of social benefits when they move. citizenship is an incredible privilege for any given country and theyre not giving those away to just about anyone
thank you.
This is a wealth of info you have provided.
What started this all as I said in my first post was a convo with my girl, who thinks for whatever reason the USA (we live in a blue state lol) is much more of a hellhole than most of the EU, and that if we moved to the EU we would have so much more social security net aid and stuff of the like.
I told her my opinion is that lower class is lower class, no matter where you are life will be less that satisfactory.
I suppose she hates the "rat race" that american culture embodies, and I get that, but I do not think that undertone is as prevalent as she believes.
thank you.

streamer drama but H3H3 called Hasan, Osama Bin Laden yesterday. If I was Hasan I would pull up on that dude and beat his ass tbh
I quit paying attention to this dude in like 2019 or earlier (maybe much earlier) and hearing about his trajectory the past couple years has been insane
This was the f***ing vape naysh guy to me
He voted for Kamala lol
Still goes to show that there does indeed appear to be a difference in policy after all
noted. I think for some money doesn’t really matter? they see it as if they’re making 50k here being a waiter why not do it overseas with more social benefits?
super rudimentary thinking but that’s how i feel people look at it
I think for wealthier people here, we are a pretty career obsessed culture and most people in professional occupations have a high level of pride in what they do, even if they wont admit it.
For people making 50k here, they probably dont have the means or savings to make such a huge move

Continuing the genocide is not a difference in policy. They're been pushing to take over the West Bank and Gaza with Biden in charge.
I am very curious about the idea of what keeps americans in america.
especially those that now see the place as a hellhole
A lot of Americans have never been exposed to other cultures, let alone speak another language. Change is scary, and it takes a combination of resources/resourcefulness/willingness to uproot your entire life and start over in a completely different country. I don't want to sugarcoat it like KD but there's a lot of good here as well and I think there is a sense of optimism that it doesn't have to be this way.

absolutely
trust me, I am this.
I have too many roots planted here, and enjoy my life here.
My gal is much much less so rooted here, and works a deadend gig, so I get her sentiment. just trying to enlighten her that it is not just some utopia over there.

I always had that feeling too lol.
And Canada isn't really an option for me because 1. I'm trying to get away from the cold if I can and 2. I want a change of scenery. I ain't trying to stay in the Americas if I'm doing all that.
Living in Europe would be cool asl I think, but like people already said, it's basically a pipe dream + the social situation is probably not better if not worse.

This can happend everywhere in the world my man stop acting like if you step in Europe you getting knifed on spot especially if you are American
