Can y'all stop getting hurt by tweets and let's dialogue on this please?

It’s not the whole reason but I think part of it is many men think women have life so much easier just because they are a woman (Whos also black) and don’t think their problems are any comparison to issues black men face. Instead of trying to understand they just try to prove how much worse men have it and how made up or exaggerated the issues the women come out and say are. And no I do not expect most of them to reply to you about this

But we are talking about black men and the disrespect to black women

you dont think more people would engage in discussions on how black men individually harm black women if it wasnt framed as being adjacent to white supremacy and pathologized them as inherently violent? im a member of mental health support group for black youths and these conversations can be had outside of the current discourse

It is a matriarchy. And it's been that way since the days of slavery as black women during that time had more access, for better and for worse. Which makes it even more wild to see black men do any sort of harm to black women. Our primary role in this matriarchy should be that of the protector. But the energy I've witnessed from other black men shows everything but that. What went wrong along the way? Have black men been trying to chase after the ideas of the white patriarchy for so long that it led to a change in how we view and treat our women?

I feel like this is something that should be discussed more. I think it's niggas who are trying hard to change how we operate as a matriarchy and shift it to a patriarchy despite it hardly being attainable due to us being locked out of the system. Which leads to an obvious clash of structures that ends up being more harmful to the whole of black people than anything else.

To make this entire discussion meet in the middle so we can build from it and talk, "Straight black men are attempting to be the white men of black people, but niggas forget this a matriarchy".

idk. I always relating things to the Econs, which black men are the worst in the nation in standing

We can. But that means straight black men must also be included into that discussion, meaning the harmful s*** that we do and say must also be brought to the light.

True unity cannot be attained until all of us can acknowledge where we're f***ing up at. List all the ways straight black women, straight black men, black people apart of the LGBTQ have been f***ing up.

We can all agree that straight black men have been getting shat on, but what we must acknowledge is the why? Why are we receiving this energy? These kinda feelings don't just come from nowhere. Once we get to the root of that then we can work to make changes.

They know that. They use instances like that to make generalizations and attack all black men. They know exactly what they’re doing.

we gotta get black to referring to being black first.

You can change your last name
    your fraternity/sorority
    you neighborhood
    city
    nationality
    S***Sexual orientation
    Politcal thoughts
    religion
    and more

but you can't change you being black and that's what these coons, negros, woke folks and etc don't get.

making fun of the black male homicide rate is just holding us accountable bro

I don’t know if you’re trying to be sarcastic or not but I’m from Baltimore where niggas would murder each other at the drop of a dime and treat women like garbage

But I also seen a lot of black businesses and brothers trying to uplift each other and our women. That was much more common in bmore and the dmv than niggas killing each other and treating women like s***.

Y’all try and make it sound like every straight black man is out here just treating women like s*** and bumming it up when it’s not the case at all

i think it's a fact that black men have historically attempted to imitate white patriarchy to achieve greater assimilation out of the subordinate male statuse, and that this is a recipe for disaster because culturally we are different from whites and most pre-colonial African societies were matrilineal, however idk how yall think this current discourse does anything but inflame

You realize there’s reason for (black) radical feminism right? And even Lgbtism? When you constantly put a group down or disregard them and have no respect for them what do you think is gonna happen? You think they’re just gonna take it?
