R.D. Burman
yeah hes one of the Indian greats
forgot if youve seen Sholay but the soundtrack is amazing (movie too)
its interesting how he incorporates a lot of wild sounds into the arrangements but the recording quality is still kinda low, especially for the vocals so it sounds old. like you'll get some lush strings, rock guitars, weird synths, bizarre sound effects all in within the same soundtrack

movie is a f***ing opus
so tender and classic
This might be my favorite album of theirs and this is one of Lynne’s most gorgeous compositions.

Also this is an incredible closer.

no Genesis album for this year
Yeah but we did get this masterpiece of a song. Collins sounds otherworldly on this. Blew me away when I stumbled upon it earlier this year.

also theres a classic Chris Squire album this year but i was scared to recommend since it basically sounds like Yes
Joni entering her black period
sounds pretty cool though
one of the first samples
@twinkletoez
Great song. This one is also really lovely.

Probably a top 10, maybe even top 5 Roxy Music song for me. I still think it sounds like something Suede could have released in the 90’s.

Simple Twist Of Fate, If You See Her Say Hello, Shelter From The Storm, Buckets Of Rain and Youre A Big Girl all amongst his most tender work and all on the same album
didnt even have room for this other masterpiece
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQQ7F67sYi0So you saving this for next year since it’s from the Desire sessions?

Led Zeppelin - The Rover, Trampled Under Foot
Black Sabbath - Hole In The Sky, Symptom of the Universe
Aerosmith - Walk This Way, Sweet Emotion
Roxy Music - Love Is The D***, Both Ends Burning
Mike Oldfield - Ommadawn
Bob Marley - No Woman, No Cry
Bad Company - Feel Like Makin' Love

Was cruising to that Aerosmith the other day and felt like I had never heard the original Walk This Way before
it wasn't really hitting ngl

Trampled my most listened to off PG
and The Rover might be my favourite
didnt realize Bonham was so pivotal in arranging Graffiti
apparently he was the one guiding them through the more difficult proggy moments and showing the band how to make them work

Sweet Emotion much better
sick intro at least, might grow on me.
