Why i like prog
Completely ridiculous laughable lyrics you can listen to for comedy value ironically but also seriously in an epic way
Endless quotable lines (especially genesis and tull)
ed long songs that build and have movements and recurring motives that you can get lost in and slowly learn after repeat listens
God level synth guitar drum work, awesome solos
Always melodic, never too "hard" or abrasive or noisy which i appreciate (i love noise but i dont like "hard rock" tull is as hard as i go)
Some of the most expensive and lavishly produced recordings ever made, unreal production
Tongue in cheek like i feel theres a wink ans acknowledgement of hoe ridiculous it is
All of this applies to rush
