I think the fact Jay Z and Nas both worked extremely closely to craft songs off of Jay Elect’s visions and themes speaks for itself. Lmaooooo. I’ll take their actual actions to speak for Jay Elect’s abilities than the arguments I’m reading in this thread for others. I don’t see two certified goats going to any other MCs mentioned in this thread like that.

Jay E never produced entire albums for them, what are you even talking about?

He produced one track for Nas and that's it. So did Eminem

Maybe Jay Elect's vision of Untitled would've been dope if the collab came to fruition. But it didn't and we'll never know.

Hahaha. You’re tap dancing a lot. I’m saying both Nas and Jay Z been in the studio and put album concepts in the hands of Jay Elect. That speaks for itself. Who gives a f*** that Eminem produced a songs for each? How’s that diminish what jay elect did? I’m not saying he’s the GOAT, but he’s extremely talented and certified GOATs agree with that obviously.

Nah you're a whole ass weirdo for all this nonsensical "Hahahaha" talk. Stop right here. Hov gave him some feats for his album bc he didn't want him to flop. Jay E never even had a feature on Hov's s***.

Em has contributed to Hov's albums more than Jay E ever did. Jay E produced one song for Nas and that's it. These are solid proven facts. Now f*** outta here.

I know all those theories and they have been debunked by the artists themselves.

That’s fine. I am just saying Nas and Jay Z closely work with Jay Elect and you’re angry about it for some reason. I’ll take their opinion over yours

What opinion is that? Bc I'm a longtime Jay E fan. I know all of his loosies and throwaways. He's really dope but there are a lot of dope rappers.

you don’t know what the word conspiracy means. blogs were the ones saying this for a while. and there’s never been a ghostwriter in the history of ghostwritting that outed themselves. all i said is that you cannot pretend it’s unfounded

Biggie has 2 albums and he can be a GOAT yet Jay E has more songs and can't be? Y'all weird

Biggie’s long lasting impact with both those albums is what puts him in the upper echelon, not just his lyrical ability. Jay E hasn’t got an inch of that in comparison. Great rapper though

Lmaooo Alright fam. Carry on. I think we agree. I’m also not saying Jay Elect is the de facto goat but I don’t think it’s wild to appreciate him as one of the greats.

When we talk about best rapper, are we simply talking skill? Cos Lupe is on another level, and has more to back it up. Same goes for Black Thought

    Oh really?

“I’ve written for all of Kanye’s albums with the exception of 808s & Heartbreak,” adding, “There are a lot of songs that my name isn’t even on.” - Rhymefest

Snoop has admitted to having ghostwriters and ghostproducers. So did Kanye. It happens.

Why would NAS need a ghostwriter. Stop it that s*** is absurd. This is why this forum is such a joke

He's great I just don't think he's on Nas' level and just cuz he helped on one random late career song doesn't make him superior or the GOAT lol

One of his own songs is based on Nas and a tribute to him

& his best songs contend those of Jay E without sounding like a fortune cookie collage

You gonna tell me Cartoons & Cereal, Buried Alive, Dying of Thirst or Keisha Song havd less replay value or an inferior message to that of Jay E

Lmfao keisha song overrated af and since you're so concerned with who washed who, gunplay washed Kendrick

    Tbh he didn't

Kendrick's 1st verse was the best on the song

But Gunplay was amazing and btw he's basically the hood Jay E (an incredible MC who constantly writes about pain and loneliness in a poetic beautiful way)

Bad thread, “any other argument is too weak to consider” lol. It’s not that you have no argument but this arrogance about it doesn’t help your point and attempts to reduce other rappers rather than elevating your favorite.

I didn’t read the whole thing but if it comes down to emotion, 2pac so obviously and blatantly conveyed the human condition better than Jay Elec, Scarface as well. Even Andre is arguable
