Yeah I had those same feelings even before 139 because Frieda was hella protective of Historia and so was Eren. But it wasn’t in a romantic way like a lot of ppl wanted so the ending sucks

we saw the results of him running off with Mikasa which didn’t lead to the end of the titans and a future for the island. He knew this and kept moving forward to the point that he did see where Mikasa shows up but Mikasa chose to kill him which ended the curse.

im asking why... why didn’t he know that Mikasa was going to make the choice of killing him? He was alive before she cut his head and saw Mikasa coming at him inside the mouth. You said he didn’t have access to some memories... but why wouldn’t he? Why wouldn’t he remember the last seconds before his death? If Ymir decided to hide that from him... why would she do this?

you have to consider that Eren was talking about all of this before his death and at the same time his mind was messed up because he’s living in the past future and present so the exact moment he died from Mikasa cutting off his head is jumbled since that moment never showed up in a memory shard and while he was inside the mouth he seemed to be in a passive sleeping state so maybe at that point he accepted death but didn’t know if what Mikasa would do would be killing him or not. In the end the one thing he did know was it would result in the future beyond the hell they lived in and Ymir herself knew that but Eren didn’t know the result of it himself.
