Because, if Mikasa must kill Eren to end the curse, and Eren DID know for sure that Mikasa will be able to kill him, then he hurt Mikasa’s feelings just because he is a d\*\*\*. But no, he did it because “he didn’t know” so he had to “act” like a d\*\*\* so when he tells her later that he is inside the mouth she’ll kill him?

he hurt her feelings because he had to act like a d\*\*\* not because he was a d\*\*\*. He had to find a way to push them away because no doubt if he would’ve told them to fight with him they would join him and they all would have hated themselves and probably would’ve died at some point without the curse of the titans being ended

So instead of only the last chapter it was the last 2 chapters that Eren actually seemed to love Mikasa in such a way

Eren isn’t a romantic person at all that’s why him confessing his true feelings looked so pathetic because he’s an awkward person. That doesn’t mean it isn’t how he feels & like I said there have been moments that may not mean anything to you but Eren has shown that he truly cares about Mikasa in the past.

Re-read my post. I was talking about how would Eren looked like IF he hypothetically DID know about Mikasa killing him|| and then i contrast that with what it actually happened. I’m saying it all sounds like a huge reach to ||redeem Eren.

Ofc he showed moments he cared for her. Just feel like he never showed moments that he seemed to be attracted to her or so. And yeah being awkward or not being able to show such feelings is pretty normal, a lot of people have that problem with love. But Eren always seemed to be an impulsive extrovert (in the past). Think it was never implied before that he loved her like a lover and not as a sis till the last chapters, which is kinda weird

At the end of the day Eren is a human being, feelings are complicated and the world they live in is complicated. The only chance Eren would’ve had to actually act on those feelings would’ve ended with everything going bad, that’s why Eren kept moving forward til he could get to the moment where they can all be free’d

I could tell Isayama REALLY wanted to resolve the emotional aspects of the story (esp as they pertained to Eren, Mikasa and Armin) and leave the action oriented parts to interpretation
