Has Drake put out his Graduation yet?

I unironically enjoy Take Care more than Graduation

Flashing Lights washing anything on Take Care though

But Cameras/Good Ones Go washing anything on Graduation aside from FL

I've always wanted a Harry Fraud project with Cole. He bridges the old and new perfectly.

The fall off is probably one of my most anticipated listens, Cole can work with those guys without fear of optics, I love that about him

I like TLOP more too but Views was vastly bigger and was good

The hits were undeniable on that album lol I never seen someone truly run a summer like Drake did in 2016

Yeah Views had absolute smashes, you can never deny that about drake albums

But I just feel like this

made TLOP a bigger moment for the culture to me

General consensus is that Take Care>Graduation as well, even if "Flashing Lights" is generally regarded as the best song between the two albums

Like it's really not a controversial take. Take Care is the defining album of 2010s hip hop

TLOP was the last classic Ye album

Also should note Drake pen on this album, a great year for music and collaboration here

All this event was was Kanye throwing money around to make a big spectacle out of playing music off his phone because dude's ego is through the roof

Views had so much hype leading into it and while it wasn't quite a classic it was still a solid record crammed with hits. If TLOP was a clearly better album than Views I'd concede that Ye might have leverage, but the average person probably feels pretty similarly about both albums

Like if Views and MBDTF dropped in the same year, MBDTF is washing

If Yeezus and Views dropped the same years, Yeezus is washing

But TLOP and Views? I don't think most people would consider either clearly washed the other

Me too, I was hoping it would've came out this year, because hes having a strong year with the features. Maybe we could get a surprise drop before the year is completely done or something.

You can downplay it all you want but it was still an insane moment in pop culture that everyone stopped to watch and remembers fondly. It’s a moment in time and I think it was the biggest moment of 2016, the year that had moment after moment (Views being one of them)

And yeah, Views hype was pretty astronomical too in the lead up, I still remember the first time I saw the Feel No Ways snippet video. But the aftermath of the album finally releasing felt lackluster

If Drake ever surpassed Ye, it was 2022-2023

Which is interesting because it took buddy a long ass time 😂

I traveled to Tokyo this year in the Spring. Was in the club and the DJ dropped Father Stretch My Hands, mfs couldnt speak English and still rapped alongside Ye's verse.

    S*** was crazy to watch

I think early next year is certain (with the joint tour and everything), he made way for bas too

I think Drake has made a lottt of great music, but the highs of his career just aren’t coming close to Kanye’s highs imo

His run from CD to MBDTF is easily one of the most impressive runs in music history.
And I think Yeezus is a classic as well, but Ye’s consistency in his first 5 albums is some historic s***

Like it’s not even a debate that Ye had a legitimate 5 peat run

And drake surpassed him because it was inevitable, Kanye had to decline eventually, but he will never eclipse his peak

People try to downplay it cuz of his jackass antics in the latter half of the 2010s but yea them first 6 albums is legit like top 5 or top 10 rap discographies man lol
