Musically: never imo. Drakes best works never had the impact of Ye’s best and when it’s all said and done people are gonna compare primes and it’s very clear that in Ye’s prime he was more of a risk taker. The CD - Yeezus run is something that’s not easily replicated

They were around the same level during 2014-2016. I'm subjectively a massive Kanye fan, and I do think as an overall artist in pop/hip hop no one really touches his discography, but Kanye had a small dip in quality after Yeezus and Drake was at the peak of his powers.

But the moment Kanye went into that hospital, Kanye's musical quality started dipping hard, and Drake (while I'd argue he dipped Views onwards) has always been ahead of him.

I do think Donda is better the CLB, and during that one year 2021, they were pretty close in quality, but Drake came back much stronger with Her Loss and FTAD.

It's like one long dad joke in a pleasant but sometimes corny way

honestly just needed better beats. Cole isn't even a bad producer but he just sticks to a very strict formula at times. I'd love to see him work with a blend of dirty south producers and neo-boom bap guys, I think he could make a masterpiece with that combo

Honestly when he's all done, kendrick might be the closest we have said to have surpassed ye, but he ain't done yet and I feel like Tyler might be the dark horse

I like TLOP more too but Views was vastly bigger and was good

The hits were undeniable on that album lol I never seen someone truly run a summer like Drake did in 2016

Tyler is poised to surpass him but just needs a stronger catalog. Flower Boy and Igor are on par with Ye's/Kendrick's best even if I enjoy Ye and Kendrick considerably more than Tyler

I think MBDTF is just slightly better than TPAB but Kendrick also has 0 misses and Ye has at least 2 misses

Then how come you ain't acknowledge offseason, it felt to fresh and all over the place with the beats that I knew Cole let someone cook with him for once, let go my hand hit me a couple of days back as the best track there

Cole x Conductor Williams would be fire

Cole and Harry Fraud would be incredible to me

Not exactly the same lane as Conductor but I think both could bring out the best in Cole

Drake’s catalog is nowhere near Kanye's to me.

I've always wanted a Harry Fraud project with Cole. He bridges the old and new perfectly.

CD/LR/MBDTF better than any Drake album no contest

Take Care better than any Ye album aside from the big 3 though

Views was the beginning of Drake realizing his brand is untouchable and that he could put out anything he wanted as long as it's competent enough imo

The 8 am in Charlotte beat is screaming for him to murder it, guess it was too on the nose for him to remix it
