Weird... so I know the 16 inch is $500 more than the 14 inch, at the base model
But it’s $3300 for the 14 inch vs $3500 for the 16 inch with the specs bumped up (32-core max, 1tb, 32gb ram)
Only $200 difference. now I’m not sure which I want lol
It the difference is only 200$ get it.
You wont regret it in two years from now (was 200$, not make or break)
But you might regret having a smaller monitor at that point
Applechads can’t lose
can't wait to test it out

tbh I regretted only getting the 256gb on my 2017 and had to live with that for over 4 years
def buy what you think you want, obvi don't over spend if you don't need it but it's already so much

yeah you just gotta survive purely off externals with sizes that small unless you do nothing with your computer lol
yeah definitely I can't wait to see how much faster it is than my current one, I have a better PC but I do most my stuff off my MacBook, use it everyday

I have a Unraid with 16tb and a Truenas with 2tb of SSD storage.
The Unraid is a PlexServer / Video file storage. I use Docker to run PostgreSQL, Transmission and other things.
The Truenas I use for Time Machine backups, game sharing and documents.
They're both pretty old computers but they make great servers, much better than trying to get the Mac to talk with a PC.
I keep debating whether to get a MacBook, they look powerful and reliable for video editing, but then I remember about the magnetic timeline in FCPX and I don't know whether to just get a laptop with great specs and Da Vinci Resolve

a lot of college classes require a powerful laptop because you have to bring it into class, it’s a requirement to get in my animation classes lmao
they recommend 32gb ram for me

iphone 13 pro should I get graphite or the sierra blue?
Sierra Blue p fire I f*** with it
and with how power efficient these are wouldn’t surprise me to see people mining crypto with them.
Apple says the M1 Max can match mobile RTX 30xx
these machines can work at full performance even unplugged and consume 70% less power than Intel chips, thats a major W

Don’t say that I won’t ever be able to buy one.
