thought about going 64gb but 32gb should be plenty
What was your rationale for upgrading to 2TB?
What was your rationale for upgrading to 2TB?
I do video editing and music production
I currently use a 2tb external drive for all that (video clips on a 16tb nas)
if the 4tb was less I would have upgraded tbh just for future use I really only need 2tb atm
gonna be a long week of waiting. 16 inch pro m1 max 1tb delivers tuesday.
damn lucky my m1 max won't come till Dec
cart wouldn't load for a minute for me

Does it charge your credit card when you order or when it ships?

it charges a couple days before shipping
AirPods 3 have a longer listening time than the pros, literally no reason to buy them now unless u really want noise canceling
Yep and pretty sure there will be new pros coming out, it feels like the pros are near the end of its cycle.
ANC is the best part of the AirPods Pro
ANC is decent but it doesn’t sound that great while on a plane. It’s transparency mode that’s elite
just noticed they hide the notch with dark bar on fullscreen apps lmfao. not good, not good.
I feel like they could just increase screen real estate by filling the area where "Macbook Pro" was placed with more screen but that's where the heat sink operates too..

agree, they killed initial ANC. It was literally a dead silence switcher in the beginning then a firmware got pushed and it got considerably weaker

just keep in mind that you hurt your ssds performance if you fill it over 70%
You always got the knowledge bro
my complains are:
notch (eh, at this point just have to deal with it)
only HDMI 2.0 (understand bandwidth problems having all that I/O and SD, they kinda had to budget it)
Space Gray (still not THAT gray)
Which one should I cop? I don't video edit, only code and game
if you want portability definitely go for the 14 inch.
and what kind of games you play on a Mac?

Just light gaming I guess. And def going with 14 inch. Not sure if I need the 14 vs 16 core gpu

ofc bro
I'd rather have another Thunderbolt 4 or one less Thunderbolt 4 for a HDMI 2.1
useless
back to waiting for a USB C DP to HDMI 2.1 adapter to come out
that Apple event confirmed to me that the new Macbook Pro is overkill for what i need.
i instead decided to get the M1 Air with 16 GB RAM instead.
gonna be a huge upgrade from my 2015 Pro
it's only hdmi 2.0?

that's what mac rumors are saying.
really a brainfart, they got rid of it in 2016 only to bring it back with old tech.
lads and gents, Apple.
oh and I was forgetting no center stage... sometimes I wonder why they do this, makes no sense.

yeah I see it under the specs list I checked after your post
yeah they must have figured most people would just use a Thunderbolt or Displayport for 4k 120hz+ Displays
I get why they did it but it would have been nice if they added it to the m1 Max since it obviously has way more PCIe lanes / bandwidth
it should be able to process the image but they probably didn't wanna have different parts for both CPUs
Weird... so I know the 16 inch is $500 more than the 14 inch, at the base model
But it’s $3300 for the 14 inch vs $3500 for the 16 inch with the specs bumped up (32-core max, 1tb, 32gb ram)
Only $200 difference. now I’m not sure which I want lol
