🤷♂️No idea but 1 or 2 examples of people deciding not to watch or listen to someone is not evidence of cancel culture considering the numerous people, companies, brands that have supposedly been cancelled.
You said no one and I gave you one and now you’re minimizing it.
You can argue that cancel culture isn’t effective in most cases but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

Yeah fair enough I did but like I said, it’s not evidence of cancel culture.
far left have made almost everything ridiculously unenjoyable, far right are just awful people lol
While the SJW’s on the left often cause more harm than good centrism is gross.
There’s no way to be “in the middle” of gay marriage, abortion, climate change, etc
That's not far-left
Far-left is like anarchism and socialism, not people that cancel others on Twitter
alot of those people dont abide by the normal left either though lol. Those same people want to exterminate heterosexuals and gun straight white men down in the streets (non racist ones, so I cant get on the bandwagon)

A lot of those people aren't even actually left , the annoying psuedo-woke liberals are moderately conservative on the global political scale.
100% been saying this for a year now and always get attacked
thats cause ktt got literal anarchists & communists patrolling this sxn day and nite

Socialism isnt far left
I agree with you op
You can’t move forward going too far left or too far right.
There needs to be a balance.
Because people don’t like to admit it, but there are good leftist policies and good right wing policies.
We need people to take what’s good from both sides and mesh it into one.
That’s why I hate the party system.
i never knew being a centrist was a bad thing until ktt tbh lmao

when has centrism been good

this is absolute bullshit
Just think about where we’d be at today without (what was at that point in time considered) far left riots and revolutions?
Going left is going forward. The center doesn’t move

the problem, and it’s clear from this thread and it’s responses, is that everyone seems to have a different idea of what “far-right” “far-left” “centrism” etc even entail. it just renders this type of discussion pointless (unless we can steelman not only the definitions of these terms, but also the greater context)
one thing i do know is that op made a mistake in using those terms to describe the people he went on to mention

It’s not about compromise. You can be in the middle and support gay marriage. It’s not about “oh let’s find the middle ground in gay marriage”

Well elaborate what you think “the middle” is then lmao

It’s being able to objectively look at certain policies and agree with them no matter what side they come from.
Like for example, someone can agree and align with more left policies when it comes to social issues, but more conservative policies when it comes to economic issues.
They aren’t trapped in agreeing with every democratic policy or every Republican policy

What policies do you agree with from both sides?
Socially I align with more left ideologies, but economically I would say my preferences align more on the right side of the spectrum.
Ex, marriage equality, and social welfare I agree with, but I also don’t agree with extreme tax increases. I hated when Bernie said that he doesn’t think billionaires should exist

You pretty much described libertarians
What policies do you agree with from both sides?
don't ask that, you'll never get an answer
here's the thing big brained centrists don't understand
saying you're a socially liberal, fiscal conservative, means you support upholding a status quo of essentially white supremacy. do you idiots honestly believe that social life and social policies are not at all connected to your economic life and economic policies?
