I’m honestly so tired of the “ooh he’s canceled” or in response the “ooh he’s a snowflake”.

Like is anyone tired of both of these groups that just want to do nothing but fight and bicker about anything and everything? Like if one side says “up” the other regardless if they should or not will almost always say “down” just out of spite and the spirit of contradiction.

It really gets so old.

Is their a political class or party that is more middle-centric? Just for normal level headed people that don’t have to deduce everything to whether you’re a liberal or conservative.

I mean there has to be to be room for grey area right?

I just want a party or president that does what’s best for America even if that means sometimes going liberal or sometimes being more conservative depending on the case and what’s going on and of course what the people want.

We need a new major party separate from Democrats and republicans that recognize the best of both worlds and instead of always trying to be one way or the other.

Best and worst is very subjective depending on who you ask and when you ask them. So wouldn’t it be better to do what’s in the best interest for all people involved while keeping them and their opinions involved? See I don’t believe one is over the other when I look beyond my own opinion. You are always going to do what you subjectively think is best, while I will to, and since there are millions upon millions of people what’s subjectively best will constantly change depending on who you ask.

So in my opinion there is no ultimate wrong or right answer as their will always be naysayers regardless, right?

So with that logic I think it’s best to compromise and to not think your own personal best way is the overall best for everyone else because it very well couple not be and knowingly enforcing your way on other who it may not be well suited for is simply selfish. I do not believe in making decisions that affect great numbers of people based on what is good for you but like I would want anyone else to make a decision that is good for them while doing many others wrong. Only way to offset this is to compromise and have all bodies of people well represented as to come to solutions that keep everyone in mind.

Now obviously you can’t please all people at the same time and there will still be those who don’t get their favorable outcome, but getting a fair shake and heavy consideration is what is most important.

I just want things to be less about sides and more about compromise.

Because people don’t like to admit it, but there are good leftist policies and good right wing policies.

We need people to take what’s good from both sides and mesh it into one.

That’s why I hate the party system.

Probably by people who rather see chaos then peace. Which is unfortunate. But that is life. There will always be people who rather there be constant controversy and side picking than peace and harmony. Hate that they feel that way, but they are entitled to feel that way if they wish. I’m more about happiness than misery though personally. Peace and harmony and getting along with people even when we don’t agree on every topic is more important to me than being right and rubbing it in their face just to make them angry.

I agree with you but I would just ask you to think why we became so polarized in the first place.

We have had this very philosophy you describe running our government for decades now. Everyone from Bush Senior to Clinton to Bush Junior to Obama tried this “down the middle” approach and people were not happy with the outcome.

Just because something has the label of “far-left” or “far-right” does not mean that it’s automatically wrong. Sometimes you have to start over or think outside the box.

I would just say don’t get wrapped up in labels. Just like any other decision you make in your life, you do what you think is right regardless of what labels people will put on you. It should be the same in politics.

I agree and respect your position on this. The only things I’d say in opposition is, I want more politicians and people in general to look past their own personal agenda or what’s good for them and look more to doing what’s right for the people even if it may not be in your personal best interest or what makes you happiest. I think a person in power should put the people’s interest over their their own personal interest or at least compromise on that.

If I was in power, it’d be less of what’s good for me and more about what’s good for everyone involved even if that means I take a L because I believe a strong leader puts the country above themselves.

Being far left or far right does not mean you have to have a personal agenda.

For example, I’m pretty left leaning but if we actually had a massive influx of immigrants damaging the country, the correct thing to do would be to increase border security. It’s a far right position but it would be the right thing to do in this situation (for the record I don’t think this is the case, just an example).

If poverty levels continue to rise such that people work full time and have to live on the street then the right thing to do is raise the minimum wage. Again, far-left but still correct.

There’s a time and place for everything and I think we tried and failed with moderation. We’re trying far right right now with Trump. Maybe it’s time to try far left. It’s not personal it’s just examining the problems facing the country and trying to fix them
