Apr 26, 2025ScooterI also finished fairy tail recently. It certainly drags at moments but I think it does a decent job building a world and piecing it together as you go. Solid main cast in the guild, all the tropes and other problems aside. Naturally, the power of friendship is just unstoppable.
Whenever I watch longer shows and actually look forward to seeing how the ending arc concludes I get the feeling I'm like microdosing what the one piece experience is. Could not imagine watching something build for 20,000 episodes and it all be worth it. I see the vision, still don't think I can make the jump though

Saw The Colors Within in cinema today and its a solid movie. But above all Yamada as a director is absolutely goated. The shots, the scene transitions, everything just sits perfect.
Shout out to Kensuke Ushio too. He my favorite modern composer in TV and his soundtrack on Heike is my fav of the 2020s. The way he incorporates ambient music / creates moments with a minimal soundscape makes him stand apart from the rest
