I also finished fairy tail recently. It certainly drags at moments but I think it does a decent job building a world and piecing it together as you go. Solid main cast in the guild, all the tropes and other problems aside. Naturally, the power of friendship is just unstoppable.

Whenever I watch longer shows and actually look forward to seeing how the ending arc concludes I get the feeling I'm like microdosing what the one piece experience is. Could not imagine watching something build for 20,000 episodes and it all be worth it. I see the vision, still don't think I can make the jump though
