Finished Sound Eupho S3, I have been lazy in my time spent with anime due to a very interesting movie season this summer. Fantastic ending, not as explosive as the first season or as explorational as the second, but a greatest hits kind of season that owned all of the emotional beats it set up and payed off. It sucks that this series was robbed of what could have been an interesting season lodged between 2-3, exploring more of the new students and the growing contentiousness between the politics of the audition system and interpersonal conflicts that I live for, but I digress.

Loved it, 8/10

ATRI is weird because they're really trying to push the positive vibes and happiness but all I have felt throughout is a sense of melancholy and unavoidable doom on the horizon

If you would have told me that mono was going to try and make an aesthetic even cooler than the OG, I'd have said its not possible, but here we are

Yeah its like limited dialogue limited animation but what is there has got some evident layers that they bring out in awesome ways.

The layout and build up of the last diary episode to the final word at the end was just way too clean. Same with the most recent ep ending with the tapes.

Did not at all realize this was a directing debut, makes it even cooler

Well.... It's not (fully) power of friendship oriented..It's better than Fairy Tail in that regard. It has a good cast of characters and decent villains tho arcs can feel a bit rushed which makes power ups feel sometimes a bit asspully esp in the last arcs. Women protags are actually decently written compared to other shounens imo. It's in its final saga rn so I'm guessing its gonna finish by the end of this year or so.
