I watched all three seasons of Kimi ni Todoke. The first season was cute, but the second was really frustrating. The constant misunderstandings the main character faced were a bit over the top, and it was honestly getting on my nerves how poorly everyone communicated. Thankfully, season three was much better. It really drew me into the side characters' stories. Now, I’m probably going to pick up the manga to see how everything plays out.

brother i feel u on the frustrations! when i watched it years ago it felt like the romance was never going ANYWHERE and the ML was such an ass hat

gotta warn u tho the manga doesn't really fix any of the issues i had with the anime (doesn't flesh out the side chars either) and it was a giant slog to finish

easily one of the most overrated shoujo romances in existence

Yeah S2 first half was super annoying. It felt like the writer was creating conflict for no good reason.

It's kinda disheartening to hear that about the manga. In that case, I think imma put it on hold for now.

Btw, I'm not super familiar with the romance genre, so I'm open to recs if you got any.

• telework yotabanashi (complete)
• ogami tsumiki to kinichijou (ongoing)

machida-kun and telework are on the short side u can kill those stories in a matter of hours

Good looks. I'm unfamiliar with these, except for The Flowers of Evil, which I've read. As a matter of fact, it was someone itt who recommended it to me - probably you? That was a while ago, but it definitely stuck with me. I've also read Blood on the Tracks by the same author, and that was even crazier.
