English dub has been goofy so far but it's based in London so I'll give the pompous accents a pass
Johnny Yong Bosch and Patrick Seitz have both done many great characters so im down to ride with it
Catching up with the season, City Episode 5 is one of, if not the most insane and ambitious animated episodes I’ve ever seen. It’s like if a subway surfer tik tok video had a point
I don’t even think Ghibli could pull off something that complex.

My Dress Up Darling 2nd season feels like a improvement over the first
Makes me smile and I like what the characters are up to here
Scratches the romcom itch I had for a while
just finished golden kamuy, man that was so f***ing good
it took like 40 or so chapters for me to hooked but once it had me, i was along for the ride. such an amazing blend of humor, action, drama and mystery. i had never heard of the ainu people before this so it was cool to learn about their culture, history and customs, you can tell noda put in a countless amount of hours researching and learning about them himself
sometimes i felt the educational aspects hurt the pacing just a bit. like a chapter would end on a super interesting note and then the next chapter would start and be primarily asirpa educating the group on an animal and it's status as a god to the ainu people, the folklore surrounding it, the tools they used to hunt and process it, how they cooked it, etc. interesting stuff, but weirdly placed in the context of a story at some points. the beginning is also pretty slow imo but those were my only two negatives
tanigaki was my favorite character, i just really vibed with him. tsurumi is one of the best villains i've seen in a while, always calculated and seemingly one step ahead of everyone else. all the side characters were great too. i felt like most of the characters were given enough page time to make an impact and form a connection to the reader, even if they didn't get in depth backstories, but the ones who did get backstories were great
super excited for the two movies coming out and s5
