Not saying we need another origin, but jesus christ. Spider-Man in the MCU should've been Peter Parker Spider-Man, not Miles. Peter is as smart as Tony, and knows how to make his own gadgets and s***. And he can handle being on his own like Iron Man. MCU completely disrespects the morals of Spider-Man. The reason why they picked Miles story for MCU, because they knew Miles would resonate heavy with the youth of today and they weren't ready to see Miles be the next big superhero to be black on screen

Wait soooo what about MCU Spidey makes you think of Miles?

And I thought Marvel was planning to bring Miles in to the universe eventually

Ahhh ok I see now. Idk how I didn't catch the parallels before.

Definitely makes me view MCU Spidey differently now. I still do like Tom Holland's portrayal overall, it's nice to see an actual youthful Spiderman. but I do feel like Marvel f***ed up with how they are handling his story and character development.

They are trying way too hard to make him Ironman Jr

That's why i hate this adaptation of Spider-Man so damn much, and this shows how lazy but also racist Hollywood can be. The MCU had contracts saying that he had to be "white". Plus they made him become a joke which is depressing to hardcore spidey fans

Sheesh I didn't know about that contract s***

And why put Miles' uncle in Homecoming if they already gave Peter most of Miles' story?
Especially if they plan on bringing Miles in to the story

Now I have no idea what direction they can take for Miles story whenever they introduce him in the MCU

They basically tryna sabotage any chance of having a live action Miles Morales Spidey. This is why I want Sony to make Spider-Man exclusive again, because MCU completely disrespects the foundation of what makes Peter Spider-Man and his personality.

And unfortunately the new Spidey movies are making billions so I already know Sony will just keep making deals with the MCU tbh

But we'll see what they end up doing with him after part 3

  • It’s pretty underwhelming overall second one was so bland the highlight of the movies are Emma stone and Garfields chemistry throughout both. Villains were just not done well. was intrigued by the overarching story they were setting up but I don’t think it would have tied nicely

  • Amazing Spider-Man 2 was a huge step down from first one but it was pretty insane aesthetic wise. Had best live action suit and the cinematography was just stunning. Waiting for MCU to make theirs more visually entertaining

  • Dec 5, 2020

I didn’t see the second but I thought the first was a decent enough 2010’s reboot to the franchise as someone who saw the 2002 in theaters

I just hate that they built up the whole secret agent parents aspect, even if it is in some of his comic book storylines

Spiderman is cool bc he’s a regular kid and that it could’ve been anyone

    Hard agree

It will be as soon as someone tries to perfect Webb's formula for these movies if given the chance.

Im aware that Sony made these decisions, it still don't change the fact that MCU is garbage for making a Peter that stole all of his traits from Miles. They should've make it like Spider-Man PS4, because that's literally the best version of Spider-Man

  • Dec 7, 2020

He was a bad peter parker but an amazing spiderman

  • Dec 7, 2020

I’m still not feeling Tom tbh Andrew snapped with the quips as Spider-Man

  • Dec 8, 2020

andrew garfield may be the worst a list actor of all-time

i'd rather sit outside for 2 hours in a blizzard than watch his feature

Deleted scene on the second one with his father being alive is crazy. Is it true that he got fired because he didn't went to a party hosted by the Sony CEO in Brazil 2014?

The story had a f*** ton of potential, but the electro villain was horrible, and then with no true ending to the series it kinda fell off entirely

    MCU

MCU the most comic accurate portrayal of things, they do a really good of kinda having that awe factor when you read a comic as a kid. They feel like superheroes

I need Andrew as Spidey again, he connected more to me than Tobey ever did. No diss to Tobey, because the Raimi trilogy still superior, but the more emotional relatable side that Andrew brought to this idea of Peter was incredible. They screwed him over

The raimi trilogy was really cool but it’s essentially ultimate Spider-Man pre miles and for that reason I’ve never really connected w it

has to be nostalgia, the films are literally better in every way

I think all 3 have plusses and minuses tbh. I think the raimi films have really good plot and such but then they feel much to 2000s to me like the energy in those films is just that early 2000s late 90s style, the Garfield ones were good with characters but they mishandled the plot so poorly, and Tom Holland has the most accurate representation of Spider-Man imo (especially being adapted in 2010s although this could make it seem dated later on down the line) but also rely too heavily on the other marvel universe happenings which is cool but also kind of a curse
