Now the more i think about it, I think Garfield's Peter is a modern day version of a geek.
think the modern day version of a geek is either what Hollands Peter embodies or a shut in type
Garfields Peter is kind of like a male fantasy tbh: Someone that is extremely smart but also flaunts his toughness, goes from an extreme introvert punk to being a charismatic and super romantic guy, and just in general seems to have it all
obviously he runs into relationship troubles but I don't think any geek could dream of doing half the s*** Garfield does to appeal to Gwen in the 2nd movie lol (literally getting her to delay her Oxford interview, making a huge ass dramatic statement on the NY Bridge, etc.) I remember the people in school who made big public displays of affection for a girl and they were most definitely the most well liked and popular people in their class lol.
When Tobey gets into relationship troubles in the 2nd movie, he handles it more like a geek would tbh. He doesn't go Mr. Tough Guy or anything, but he tries to quietly prove to her that he can be what she expects.
bro i was so heated when they used the ultimate spider-man name for that drake bell series
you ever read the jms run on amazing?
Yes I've read it. Ultimate is just such a ride though I can't get over it. I need to revisit both to see what I like.
Take the nostalgia glasses off man

Tell that to the Raimi spider man d*** riders
Tell that to the Raimi spider man d*** riders
The MCU spider man’s are just a more offensively bad less funny version of spider man 3
Tell that to the Raimi spider man d*** riders
Both of them in the same boat
The MCU spider man’s are just a more offensively bad less funny version of spider man 3
Emma Stone's gwen stacy deadass best love interest in any superhero movie ever
Pepper ?
the mcu spider-man movies are so bland, at least the other series have a lot of personality
Pepper ?
I mean just in general hotness. Emma Stone is a absolute dime and her gwen stacy also wife material
The MCU spider man’s are just a more offensively bad less funny version of spider man 3
I’d take 10 times the phrase “Peter tingle” in the next movie over the long winded jazz club scene before he backhands his ex gf any day

Like her better red ;)
Hot take; I don't like that Miles Morales is half Spanish. I think they did that as a cop out because they knew how successful he was going to be so they wanted to check two boxes and so they aren't obligated to cast a darskin dude as Miles.
also enter the Spiderverse is the best Spiderman flick there is.
ultimate Spiderman is the best run Spidey has ever gotten and deserves a TV series that's truthful to the comics
Nah it makes sense. You know how many Puerto Rican’s live New York ?

I'd take Emo Peter over a Peter that is basically the whitewashed version of Miles Morales trying all of his best to be like Iron Man (when clearly Spider-Man is a iconic superhero in his own right, and deserves way more respect in the MCU). A Peter that makes Tony to be more important than or completely forgets Uncle Ben (who is the key factor of him becoming Spider-Man in the first place). A Peter that suddenly had falling in love with MJ (who is not her at all) in the 2nd movie after completely ignoring her in the first. A Peter that just wears the suit just to be cool and not actually learn that he has a obligation to use his powers and responsiblites.
Love ya Chip, but MCU Spider-Man is just Miles Morales. At least, Sony actually done this story way better and surpassed on all levels, but nevertheless nobody would give af.
Not saying we need another origin, but jesus christ. Spider-Man in the MCU should've been Peter Parker Spider-Man, not Miles. Peter is as smart as Tony, and knows how to make his own gadgets and s***. And he can handle being on his own like Iron Man. MCU completely disrespects the morals of Spider-Man. The reason why they picked Miles story for MCU, because they knew Miles would resonate heavy with the youth of today and they weren't ready to see Miles be the next big superhero to be black on screen
