I understand that many people didn't like Marc Webb interpretation of Spider-Man, but imo I f***in love it. The fault was moreso on Sony and Avi Arad for messing up a lot of the movies, but even then i still love it.

I really love the idea of a realistic Peter Parker and Spider-Man that one day i probably make a comic inspired and based on it.
love the first one and really like the first half of the second
still prefer these to the new movies too
Deleted scene on the second one with his father being alive is crazy. Is it true that he got fired because he didn't went to a party hosted by the Sony CEO in Brazil 2014?
I just hate that they built up the whole secret agent parents aspect, even if it is in some of his comic book storylines
Spiderman is cool bc he’s a regular kid and that it could’ve been anyone
First one is cool, Amazing Spider-Man 2 is so f***ing garbage
the whole Sinister Six build up and Harry are things I desperately wish could forget.
Andrew Garfield was just fine.

Yeah, its true. Sony were pieces of s*** to Andrew and Marc. F*** that nigga Avi too

Bro all these scenes way better than what was shown in the movie. I got to make a comic and send it to Marvel, because this idea of Spider-Man is amazing.

People love Spider-Man’s villains, without realising Avi is the best Spiderman villain of all time
You ever read Kevin Feiges notes for TASM2? Pretty interesting, there was a lot of stuff he liked but many of his changes got ignored
I hope Andrew does get to be Spiderman in a multiverse marvel movie bc dude really loved Spiderman but got chewed up and spat out
His acting was great but the writing in the second one especially was garbage.
Cant blame andrew for that tho

Bruh
I need Andrew as Spidey again, he connected more to me than Tobey ever did. No diss to Tobey, because the Raimi trilogy still superior, but the more emotional relatable side that Andrew brought to this idea of Peter was incredible. They screwed him over
I'll still take the first amazing spider man over the mcu spider man movies
but they are still extremely bad as films
I don't really understand the idea of this being a "realistic" Peter Parker either. The Raimi films were much more realistic when you consider we see Peter literally live his life as someone graduating from HS, going to college, handling different jobs, living on his own and dealing with his landlord, juggling all these various factors and showing how that takes a toll on him.
I don't really think they made him anywhere as realistic here. This is just Peter Parker being given an indie rom com edge but Garfield is far less believable as a loser nerd unlike Tobey who played it perfectly. Garfield for a big portion of the film comes off as an antisocial dudebro who is also bullied for a short period before all of a sudden being popular cuz he football charged his bully and broke a $1000+ basketball hoop.
There is only one saving grace to these films and that is the chemistry between Garfield and Stone. Their scenes together are by far the best scenes I have seen in any Spider Man movie in terms of the romantic moments. But honestly outside of that, these movies got pretty awful action, a far less likeable and respectable spider man (doesnt really come off anywhere as heroic as Tobeys Spider Man did, but kinda just comes off as a dudebro doing his job and just being a stud while somehow also an extremely smart nerd), and ultimately a lot of extremely dumb moments and logic (TAMS 2 essentially has Gwen telling Peter that she is not a damsel in distress only to die in exactly the way every person had been warning her since the first film, which just makes the message of the film fall flat on its face)
Also the films could've beem way better if they didn't deleted the best scenes of the movies.
S***s overhated the plot werekinda trash but the chemistry and charisma was prolly the best of any Spiderman

andrew and emma were dating at the time, thats why the chemistry was good

In the Raimi films, it leaned heavy on the Ditko comics, so to me. Tobey's interpretation of Peter was pretty cheesy stereotypical nerd compared to Andrew. Andrew felt more real and relatable than Tobey. Plus lets not get started the chemistry between Peter and Gwen, it was perfect. There was some things to fix with Andrew's Peter tho
