literally what i picked tf
S*** talking never fails
Anima Latina - Lucio Battisti
going into this expecting the lanuage barrier so my review is based on th musicality and vubes
Abbracciala abbracciali abbracciati - oh wow this one really sets the tone for the album, i feel like this is something i wouldve came across back in the mid 2010s. this one is ethereal and as soon as those trumpets and basslines came in, i was completely sold. doesnt even feel like 7 minutes went by fr
due mondi - this was literally me all song
reminded me of that breakdown part in Daft Punkās āTouchā
anonimo -
this is beautiful man. synthesizer. soft bells.
BASS.
oh man when them drums came on i just turned into
OH THAT SWITCH UP AT THE END WAS NICEEEEEEEEEE
Gli Uomini Celesti - im sampling this. hands down.
Gli uomini celesti (Ripresa) - a nice continuation of the previous track, felt like i was in a bodega
papi lemme get a baconeggancheese
Due mondi (Ripresa) -
this one is beautiful. short and sweet yet melancholy
Amina Latina - title track
mostly instrumental, had me grooving odee while working i was hella locked in i forgot there was a singer and when he came on the song it was smooth. another long song that really does not feel like it
Il Salame - oh this one give noir theatre
im f***in with it, that random bass breakdown in the middle is getting sampled btw
this is another great one
La Nuova America - nah soon as that beat dropped
ill be taking that as well, thank you
Macchina Del Tempo - this song instantly transported me to what the 80s mustve felt like
i dont even know what to call that sound that loops throughout the intro but i really liked it. if i have one thing to say about this album so far, its that no one song has an expected sound and thats really distinct. that bongo breakdown was nice. nah this one FULL of samples dawg.
Separazione Naturale - wow. what an outro. that album felt like a spiritual experience.
really good listening experience
this was something i would not have come across had it not been reccomended to me, glad it was

he was cooking so hard all over the album especially for 1974 is crazy

Dido - Safe Trip Home
First time hearing an album from her although I do know some of her songs.
Honestly on the first half of my first listen I was not feeling this at all for some reason. It did end up growing on me a bit though, maybe I just wasn't in the right mood at first. Dido's voice is clearly beautiful and very distinct, I was already familiar with it and it's one of the main strengths of the album as expected. The production and arrangements are overall quite well-crafted and tasteful. Despite this I still don't connect that much with most of the album, I think it's just a little too pleasant and sometimes sleepy for me that it ends up dipping into being plain and uninteresting for large stretches. I clearly hear the talent and how well everything is put together but the creativity factor and songwriting substance is the part that isn't connecting with me as much. That being said there are still some highlights and overall certainly not a bad listen. I think it's at its strongest when the production is doing more. Northern Skies was my favorite song, I think that's the one where the atmosphere is at its best and the length actually works well for it as all the instruments come in and out and it ebbs and flows. That one also evokes the album artwork the most which I like.
If I had to rate it off my 2 listens I t hink I'd give a 6/10. I might have to check out some more from her first 2 albums eventually

NORTHERN SKIES.
no angel is her best.
@eversince Nurture - Porter Robinson
going into this i wasn't sure what to expect, i'd never heard of who porter robinson was or this album
i've never listened to electronic music apart from justice and daft punk as well who idk if they count either
the quiet and soft moments throughout this album with just the acoustic pianos and strings with minimal vocals or even outright no vocals were by far my fav parts of the album, the little piano breakdown before the chopped up vocals came in on wind tempos was incredible, i loved lifelike and how it went into look at the sky. the different vocals/pitches were pretty cool too i didnt know if there were other people singing until i looked at the credits
the pitched vocals at times really sound like girls or kids, super trippy
the only song i outright disliked was do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do, this just sounded like background music you'd hear in spyro or some video game, the main melody was a bit bland too it didnt hold my attention well for it to be the basis of an entire piece/song
my first 2 listens i honestly didn't like the whole album that much apart from some songs/little musical breaks but by my 4th-5th listen i was more warmed up to it, not bad for a genre i've never listened to
my fav songs were look at the sky, wind tempos, lifelike, trying to feel alive, blossom and something comforting
least fav song was do-re-mi-fa

@YungPapi ok for ur album we are going to the OCEAN
Cruz CafunƩ - Me Muevo Con Dios

u getting the first carnitas to make it popping in rap during the 2010s
Copying and pasting from my notes app at the gym today on my second listen
Hndrxx album
Intro beat slappy
Album too long
Quevedo flowed like he was bout to die
Itās fine background music the production is pretty solid but itās so long it just becomes samey. Could have used a disc one disc two distinction or even been two diff projects.
Stuff I just wrote now
even the songs I liked basically didnāt stand out bc itās all a blur of similar ish vibes even tho itās kinda varied in the way a drake album is. Idk itās not necessarily bad even tho thereās some boring ass stinkers on it (the outro) but itās biggest crime is extreme bloat
There was a song where someone said shots to the head like John F Kennedy. Comical behavior

Brainrot brain

When it comes to Eno I always immediately think "guy who makes atmospheric instrumental music" so hearing that he not only occasionally sings but also does pop and rock songs as well I was surprised
Now going into this the first two tracks I absolutely love the bass playing. Especially on the first track over that robotic ass sound that guitar? is making. What follows afterwards is the first track where he full on sings over a poppish melody. His singing doesn't always rlly do it for me if im honest, not that it's bad but it's just ok. At times I'm reminded a bit of Kevin Parker from Tame Impala (but I like his voice more) However out of all the singing tracks that's on this record I liked Golden Hours and Everything merges with the nights the most. The former reminds me a lot of something MGMT would do on Little Dark Age.
As for the instrumental songs on this, some were quite forgettable to me as they just sound like mini interludes or they don't rlly build to much. Like idk why the title track is one of the most streamed songs on this when it's a whole nothing going on
Tho when they DO HIT
becalmed and Zawinul/Lava are pure ZEN shi
The two last tracks are an interesting transition from one another. U have a joyful "we've come this far" song on when the night comes and then the album closes on some eerie dark shi. Which is given the title track. Overall fun listen 7/10.
Fav tracks:
Sky Saw
Over Fire Island
Golden Hours
Becalmed
Zawinul/Lava
Everything merges with the night
