Drake turns tail and tries to make just a singing album with Views and not respond to Pusha with a record but just subliminal diss him in other records. All this s*** your saying is my problem with this take and his excuses. It ain't the Drake I knew growing up. The Drake coming up would respond to any pressure with heat. We got some of his best lyrical songs from that (Dreams Money Can Buy, 5AM in Toronto, 0 to 100 / The Catch Up, 30 For 30 Freestyle, etc). That Drake wanted to be the best. He was trying to prove to himself and the world he was the best. That Drake wouldn't let s*** change the course of his album. That Drake would definitely respond back to Push because it does accomplish something for him. Proving once and for all he deserves to be consider one of the best rappers despite also singing R&B and Pop and being the biggest mainstream artist.

Exactly but his warped view of Drake is someone who is always on the offensive when in reality he plays defense (even says this in the Zane Lowe Interview) He wanted Drake to go against Push again just so him and the other āI want Drake to be A True Rapperā Fans would cry about how the track wasnāt good enough or the attack didnāt hit the same as Pusha. He gains nothing no acknowledgement/nothing really changes his haters still hold on to the Meek info to their dear life

Exactly. Beefs are more of a distraction than help to careers. Theyāre toxic and nothing really changes unless the artists calls it quits. Jay arguably lost to Nas ppl still have him as the GOAT, Biggie lost to PAC (told all his ppl he would respond) Big is revered more now than PAC.

Agreed. Drizzy himself says that he had to acknowledge the blow because thereās nothing thatās going to change the minds of people that wanted him to lose and also gossip that he didnāt want people to know at the time. He also said that he couldāve taken it further, but as he said it couldāve ended careers (letās be real, we know Drake has the capability) but also, it was a zero sum game because people will still be like, āoh s***, he told us you had a kidā.
