Lmao drake addressed the beef and writing accusations in rap though. He also dropped follow up tracks. A lot
What are you talking about ? If anything drake is the only rapper of his generation who addresses s*** with rap while your Coleās and Kendricks are peaceful.
Because he didnāt wanna cram his album with certain energy doesnāt mean he aināt a real MC. Heās made that arguable mistake with scorpion because although the music is good overall it wonāt age great
I'm struggling to understand how he completely missed the rap tracks Drake put out to Pusha, Ye etc?
Another day closer to the 29th...
another day closer to you all melting down. just accept it fellas
another day closer to you all melting down. just accept it fellas
Another day closer to me on a never ending quest like xandir to find you my love ā¤ļø
Iāll be happy when this inauguration comes and goes. Iām so tired of hearing about it. I donāt understand why they donāt just livestream Biden accepting the oath, saying a 5 minute speech, and being done with it.
This s*** is getting in the way
I still think heās dropping this month, dude would look stupid dropping that trailer then changing the date again
I still think heās dropping this month, dude would look stupid dropping that trailer then changing the date again
He is
And this is why some people don't consider him a true rapper. A true rapper would take all that and make the hardest rap song in their life. Drake turns tail and tries to make just a singing album with Views and not respond to Pusha with a record but just subliminal diss him in other records. Nah that's inexcusable from someone claiming to be the best.
All this s*** your saying is my problem with this take and his excuses. It ain't the Drake I knew growing up. The Drake coming up would respond to any pressure with heat. We got some of his best lyrical songs from that (Dreams Money Can Buy, 5AM in Toronto, 0 to 100 / The Catch Up, 30 For 30 Freestyle, etc). That Drake wanted to be the best. He was trying to prove to himself and the world he was the best. That Drake wouldn't let s*** change the course of his album. That Drake would definitely respond back to Push because it does accomplish something for him. Proving once and for all he deserves to be consider one of the best rappers despite also singing R&B and Pop and being the biggest mainstream artist.
I could care less what people consider him as. Hes a true rapper and thats the facts. F*** all the other noise
Y'all are really acting like some spoiled brats going on like you'll die if he doesn't drop the album this month. As if the official drops and all the leaks y'all got last year wasn't more than enough to hold you over. Y'all got like 40 songs last year combined and y'all are still acting like the world will implode if he doesn't drop in two weeks.
Burning my CLB merch as Iām reading this
every time i come in here there's talk about music post-CLB
i want this album to drop and this nigga to go and chill forreal for a good while. the amount of music this guy has given us the last decade

Yea you must have some clouded view of Drake because Drake wouldnāt be that f***ing stupid to respond to someone who has already bested him with large information. āMake the hardest songā This isnāt common or meek where they are rapping about Drake as a rapper wtf this man revealed he had a son anyone with two brain cells could understand thereās nothing that can top that and fans like you would just cry and moan about the reply song as a failure= HE GAINS NOTHING. Also heās made multiple of those tracks following the beefs which were after his decision to not put NEGATIVE energy into his projects. And you thinking that people would start loving that Drake proved himself afterwards as the best is beyond hilarious He could make that track and the people who still hate Drake still hate him, the half Drake fans wouldnāt change and his image would be the same. No one gives a f*** about what fans have to say/think his peers understand who tf he is. Yāall ignore everything and then make a claim built on a misconstrued/warped image of a person. Go watch his interviews and hear him talk even while he was making Views he understood he was the best out and wasnāt being humble anymore. But you want Drake to go work with the Producers and Artist who wanted to take part in ending his career to fit your weird Drake outlook.
I'm struggling to understand how he completely missed the rap tracks Drake put out to Pusha, Ye etc?
Exactly but his warped view of Drake is someone who is always on the offensive when in reality he plays defense (even says this in the Zane Lowe Interview) He wanted Drake to go against Push again just so him and the other āI want Drake to be A True Rapperā Fans would cry about how the track wasnāt good enough or the attack didnāt hit the same as Pusha. He gains nothing no acknowledgement/nothing really changes his haters still hold on to the Meek info to their dear life

Actually the Drake coming up said āDiss me and youāll never hear a reply for it.ā Weāre lucky we got what we got.
All this āreal rapperā rhetoric is bull s***. I understand hip-hop began in the streets and the art of the battle is one of the corner stones of the culture which is cool but at the same time I feel like that s*** is toxic. Another reason to put black men against each other/be aggressive toward one another rather than work and prosper together.
I fw the fact that the Drake/Kendrick/Cole generation started moving away from that stuff. What happened to the days when black men could be talented musicians without being expected to fight to career death? Imagine Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder ābeefingā lol. S*** petty asf fr. I enjoy a good diss track as much as the next person when it comes along but that donāt make him no ātrue rapperā

Exactly. Beefs are more of a distraction than help to careers. Theyāre toxic and nothing really changes unless the artists calls it quits. Jay arguably lost to Nas ppl still have him as the GOAT, Biggie lost to PAC (told all his ppl he would respond) Big is revered more now than PAC.

Agreed. Drizzy himself says that he had to acknowledge the blow because thereās nothing thatās going to change the minds of people that wanted him to lose and also gossip that he didnāt want people to know at the time. He also said that he couldāve taken it further, but as he said it couldāve ended careers (letās be real, we know Drake has the capability) but also, it was a zero sum game because people will still be like, āoh s***, he told us you had a kidā.
