i like stirring s*** sometimes
surfer rosa walked so in utero could run
but eh they’re on par for me honestly. they
both have solid discographies
either The Band or Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers miles ahead
Wildflowers is a perfect album
Jane's Addiction is my favorite band so I gotta disagree.
Really? I like the song Caught Stealing
gotra try this
Kinda wanna try the sonic youth
Daydream Nation is the most classic one but Dirty, Sister and (maybe an unpopular opinion) Rather Ripped might be easier to get into

I love Pixies
They dont got a Nevermind
Like im sorry bro the playing field would be fair with Nirvana Sonic Youth Pixies bc they all are very cool and talented and made great music but Nirvana was all of that but then also dropped one of the most iconic albums ever made. Its them fr they the ones
And Im an In Utero stan i actually like it over Nevermind slightly but still
Yeah Hendrix was a true artist whose music matched his own soul and beliefs. He really lived that s***. It's why he was such a great producer; his albums sounded like his own internal life. And that's not even getting into the guitar work...nobody ever made it sound easier. He was like a top tier athlete making superhuman s*** seem like breathing.
i always sigh whenever i think about what could’ve been with his career…such a huge loss man. at least we have what we have though, cuz it’s some of the best s*** on the planet

Doolittle is Nevermind level for me personally
Not overall tho in terms of public perception

I can't even imagine where he would have taken the guitar as a creative tool, or DAWs for that matter.
We're lucky he recorded and kept basically every single second he was in the studio. Soooooooooo much music came from him.

i’d say on a quality level, Doolittle is the one. but Nevermind literally changed the face of music and defined a decade so that’s an automatic W

ive said it on a couple threads over the years, but could you imagine that collab with Miles Davis actually went through? PEAK electric period mixed with Band of Gypsies sound?
man wtf

Nevermind is just different bro
None of their peers have one. Im not saying Nevermind is even the best Nirvana album, but its more to it like that s*** is a movement within itself.
I really do think if they didnt have that though the Nirvana/Pixies/Sonic Youth debates would be genuinely very close though

personal story but one of my last ever highs was me and my best friend listening to hendrix. and lisning to hey joe and 1983 back to back was straight up one of the happiest moments of my life so much so that im many years sober in part just so i could cherish that special memory forever
fr man how the f*** did they make this music man
they got that music u hear and just really wonder what it was like in that room when they recorded
also just f***ing love kurt’s writing
So like when people say they like Bleach the most what does that mean?
its prob my favorite nirvana album too
