That's my point tho, we surely have some specific tastes, but looking at the big picture I would agree with OP, Nirvana really is that huge monument in rock history.

Fair enough. I personally love that album and think it was masterfully crafted. I'd say it doesn't have the immediately catchy and accessible songwriting and arrangements Nirvana has (which is one of the reasons I agree with your op). Instead, I had to stack some listens to fully appreciate the genius of that record, and those tend to become favorite albums in the long run.

Brother, they have been entertaining the idea of a comeback. Both Dave and Josh recently said they would love to get the band back together.

I have done some traveling and been to many hostels. The chili peppers are planet earths favorite band. They have tons of hits and their music is not too aggressive for the for the average person. If Bob Marley was American, he would probably have them beat.
