Dune is a story with incredibly dense lore and world building
It's so dense that a 2 and a half hour film is necessary just to set up everything .
And now that the audience understands the world of Dune, Denis can jump right in the the conflict and action in Part 2.

I just meant, it was the only part that felt quirky for the sake of being quirky, instead of feeling right for the story.
It was still funny.
It just didn’t make a lot of sense to me.

I decided to re-watch at the theatres and it definitely grew on me a bit. I'd say it went from a 3.5 to a 4 for me.
NGL I don't get why didn't they cut a few things to make it PG 13 instead of R Rating, it's a solid movie for families.

This was one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time. Between this, The Northman, and The Batman we had some heavy hitters this year.
