When he speaks to jamie lee Curtis auditor, connects with her as a human, she drops the charges, he starts singing and mopping the floor —> evelyn realising what he has done -> her hugging him, him dropping the mop and them embracing
Evelyn finally ‘unclenching her fist’ and everything that represents
Seen it 3 times in theatres and last 2 I’ve been thinking I’ll probably hold it together but it really gets me so good and I feel it all
I loveee Evelyn but Waymond really provides the whole emotional anchor for the film and Evelyn’s arc to work around

Unreal praise, I’m starting to notice a big disconnect between the me and the newer movies that receive this kind of praise.
I mean if all you watch is Marvel s*** I understand how this could blow your mind but if you’ve watched enough great movies this is just cool and that seems to be the general consensus with people who's opinion I respect when it comes to movies.

just realised one thing this movie reminded me so much of
that south park episode where kyle finds out the tooth fairy isn't real and becomes an existentialist and gets obsessed with philosophy to the point where he stops existing and becomes every physical and living object at the same time
random but there has to be another person like me out there who noticed

May 21, 2022·2 repliesI'll get killed for this but this is slightly overrated. 7/10. It's a unique movie and stands out among the current crop of movies coming out today and I don't mind it being called a masterpiece but this just didn't hit home for me.
That whole second part was what made me not like this movie as much as others. This was when the themes of the movie - 'nothing matters', 'love and acceptance' came to full light but it all just felt too preachy. It's something that would have moved me if I was young but I just prefer a bit more subtlety when a movie appears to be giving a moral lesson. Felt like I was watching Naruto do his talknojutsu at some points

IcyNeckSaw in IMAX last night. For a movie with so many things going on, this got so much right. Such a unique movie to experience. Highly recommend.
It’s 2001 if Tarantino directed it basically.

I feel awful for people who didn’t get to see this in a cinema.
My session was packed and when the lights came up the energy you could see from other people was that we had all watched something special.
If this doesn’t show up at award season then the various academies lose credibility.
