Movie was ok. Had a lot of dope abstract stuff going on. I might’ve missed something, but it wasn't as emotion inducing as I thought it'd be.

    Ha! GRAAAAY!

I’m rewatching now and will say the writing is really good.

Early in the film they drive past a guy twirling the sign, which later in the film becomes one of the roles of Evelyn. When they first go to the IRS they see an old Asian couple kiss before going to the bathroom, at the end of the film Evelyn and her husband do the same thing. Yea I like when films set up s\*\*\* early and pay off later in the film, even if it’s small.

So are we to believe that in that universe there’s a dish called Raccocooni?

I’m assuming that the only reason why they went the the raccoon route (instead of a rat) is so they could have that goofy ass looking animatronic.

S*** looked like it was ripped straight from a Scary Movie sequel.

Honestly it makes more sense to go that route, because the theory is in other universes things are slightly different. And plus when you add in the language barrier and mixing up words. I f*** with it.

Anybody else notice the wong kar-wai/asian art house-style tribute when the main character and her husband were in the universe that they werent a couple? Even had that motion blur effect that wong uses at one point

    Don’t like it?

it’s just very repetitive and there’s not much going on without the multiverse.

the corny zaniness really just takes away from any potential emotional attachment i could have towards the characters. we’ve all seen the immigrant moves to America and family has trouble adapting trope done better. everything was either too drawn out or so compacted that it made the intention fall flat.

it lived up to the visual hype and there was some funny moments throughout the movie. all in all though i really didn’t enjoy my experience watching this.

Yes this was sick he had the tony leung hairstyle.

The movie is similar to 2046 also in the way actors play multiple versions of themselves and the visuals
