Ay lowkey, I’m checking my Letterboxd and it does have my highest rating since Parasite. But to me these last two years haven’t been that great movie-wise. This year looking like it might the best yet for the 2020s
Oh fr? Idk man so many great films came out in 2019, after Parasite. Like I personally enjoy Uncut gems way more than this one.
without a doubt but not really a fair comparison completely diff typa movie lol
I mean Parasite is a different movie too. I think we all generalizing here with just our favs in general.
Red Rocket better?! Hell naw
Wait Florida Project or Red Rocket? There’s only one right answer
Red rocket, we're discussing movies that released after parasite
Crazy this movie had 25mil budget and somehow still looks better than a whole of bunch of these blockbusters. Eggers just got 90mil, is it time for the Daniel’s to get somethin big?

I like uncut gems more. I wasn’t counting films that came out in 2019 tbh. I was going 2020 and on
Craftsmanship of parasite on a whole another level but this movie was more emotionally profound for me
Yea I gotta rewatch this s***. It honestly didn't hit me emotionally at all. And I was let down by that cus niggas was talking about they was crying and all that lol. I haven't teared up at a film since Coda.
Did the emotional points in the movie hit for you? Honestly did nothing for me. That being said it was still a fun movie
Did absolutely nothing for me. I thought a lot of that s*** was cliche af if we being 100% honest.

They definitely deserve something big, visually they did amazing.

Nah you cheating fam lol, you gotta go off everything released after Parasite even if it's the same year

I was rewatching CODA last week and that scene where the dad held her neck while she sang.. s*** had me like

2019 was STACKED and Parasite stood on top of all of that, that year. But there have been some really good films since then of course
Did absolutely nothing for me. I thought a lot of that s*** was cliche af if we being 100% honest.
Same… but I don’t wanna put that negative energy out. Glad people enjoyed it but not for me
They finally added this to my local theatre but I probably can’t watch until next week smh

same. surprising cause I cry really f***ing easily but didn’t cry once in this movie and I keep hearing about ppl crying multiple times throughout the film.

Yeah bruh I was confused because that’s all people were talking bout. Like twitch said it was kinda cliche on that front
And it looks like it
i still prefer how that movie looks to this tbh
but prolly cause I prefer movies that look and feel real.
I was rewatching CODA last week and that scene where the dad held her neck while she sang.. s*** had me like
YUP!!! that's the f***in scene right there!!! Got damn....the f***in emotion that s*** brought on.
Same… but I don’t wanna put that negative energy out. Glad people enjoyed it but not for me
100% I'm not knocking people who emotionally connected to it, if anything I'm jealous lol. Like I wish i walked out the theater feeling the same opinion as what others are saying.
BUT there is still hope that it will grow on me even more. I always tell people I thought There will be blood was a complete snooze fest on the first watch but ended up loving tf out of it on 2nd watch
man I’d rather zola again than this tbh
lmaooooo completely forgot about Zola. Bro our taste might be a little too similar
