nah but that could be one i guess. The one i had in mind involves a montage of faces in super quick succession. You deadass see 100 faces flash in front of you in like 15 seconds. Not a spoiler but i don't want people b****ing at me lol

See that’s the thing I don’t know if Reddit the word for it . It more has an early 2000s or 90s humor to it where it’s willing to make fun of itself, reality , everything it’s referencing and the audience past 6 years

So, the showing I went to had some technical problems. basically the aspect ratio was not correct for a good portion of the movie, to the point that in some shots the actors' heads wouldn't even appear in frame. They eventually corrected it (the third act played out normally), but I obviously asked for a refund. Not the ideal situation, however...

    Go see it

I went into this competely blind - didn't read any reviews, didnt watch any trailers.

I honestly felt like the movie was made for me (which I think is the highest compliment any filmmaker would want to receive).

the visual creativity with which the film touches on philosophical and existential themes was fantastic.

the way in which the film slams us against various barriers of the human emotional spectrum (this s*** had a mf laughing in one scene and on the verge of tears in the next)

The representation the Absurd and its acceptance vs potential existential suicide was personally something that made me swell with emotion.

Like wow. I feel like I could type an essay on how genius that third act was. Been a while since a movie left me this way.

The praise is absolutely 100% justified.

One of the mfs I saw it with kept saying "man this is so stupid" completely missing the whole point of the movie.

Funnily enough I noticed there's a part where Gong Gong himself says "this is so stupid" - not to any of the crazy visual s*** that's happening, but as a response to Evelyn's emotional breakthrough. Which I thought was a cool way to contrast how some audiences may feel.

But man, that whole scene of choosing to "fight with kindness" in SPITE of the chaos, in spite of the lack of apparent meaning, in spite of our insignificance as humans, BLEW. ME. AWAY.

Such an important and powerful message.

I really believe this movie has the potential to be life-changing (and even life-saving) for some people.
