This only has 3 novella i believe. Grrm gave them notes for other books he was working on.
After season 3 thats when we get into that cautious era where it could go off the rails with the show.

I just wish George would just be honest with himself and decide on what he should spend the rest of his career focusing on:

There’s 2 options

1) Put all focus on Winds and Spring, but he likely won’t be able to finish Dunk and Egg or Blood & Fire

2) Give up on trying to finish Winds, and just put all focus on releasing more Dunk and Egg stories , and write Blood & Fire

It’s just not likely at all that he’s going to all of that , so he definitely needs to just commit to one or the other

He’s making a joke because at the end of the episode Egg corrects Dunk that there’s nine realms

As someone said above there’s currently three novellas but GRRM has a bunch more ideas not fully fleshed out for Dunk and Egg

Also the director of this show has said he wants to do however many seasons he can for now and then return to the show in like 5-10 years time when the actor for Egg is older to deal with the events that transpire later in Egg’s life

I feel like they’ll posthumously drop WoW and Spring

WoW and ADoS is absolutely cooked, best thing at this point would be if we get notes posthumously.

Now getting new Dunk and Egg books ain’t off the table. Their short stories and he’s prob more inspired to finish those at this point.

They're already adding stuff to the story from what I understand. Whole scenes and characters. And it's been great. I trust this guy way, way more than Benioff and Weiss.

Amazing first season

Nah I say it every week but man. I can not believe how good this show was. Truly incredible can't wait for next season

I enjoyed this as a 3 hour epic. It’s a very self contained story . Wife fell asleep halfway in. I’d be down for a season 2, to see what adventures he gets up to. Does he actually become a Knight?

NOW its Time for first watch of game of thrones

I mean.... He is by all intents and purposes a knight already. Everyone believes he was knighted and now treats him as a knight. They were even gonna let him knight someone else. To get actually knighted he'd have to admit that he'd never been knighted by Ser Arlan in the first place, which I guess I don't see him doing?

Only thing i missed was Ser Robyn post trial, i think there is a potential opening for him to appear in mystery knight (season 3) though that may be a lil tricky.

to reiterate this show got such a deep bench of characters almost every speaking part is a memorable character / performance. Like who are the least interesting? The kingsguard or the innkeeper/fortune teller? Rafe? HotD and GOT have characters idgaf about, this show’s efficiency off the charts.

This show doesnt need to spell everything out for you. A few names are dropped here and there, but no heavy exposition is needed, the audience will connect the dots when necessary. The showrunner is doing a great job.
