Read the first novella and the show is such an elevation of everything that's good about it. Not even just expanding on the narrative and setting things up more carefully. It's how they time the jokes. Ira Parker the goat

It's the best season of television they ever made out of the material by far

Finished the three novellas. The Hedge Knight (I) and The Mystery Knight (III) are a lot like. The third one is pretty much the first one on steroids. The Sworn Sword (II) will be the biggest test. It's the odd duck out in terms of setting. The characters involved are pretty minor. I could see them really fleshing out the emotions and temptation and such. Some real growth between the two ensemble focused seasons.

That part. The pacing in game of thrones and house of dragons gets annoying for me when they waste half an episode or more on a side character im not even interested in. Its sunken cost watching HOD at this point i just wanna wrap it up.
