And I say to them good luck waiting on your ideal candidate with the oppressors foot on your neck
Outside of the sleeping in the oval office and bullshit vanity projects like the ballroom and renaming bodies of water, what is the difference between Ossoff (pro-Israel, pro-ICE, anti-m4a) and Trump

I know literally nothing about Osoff. But enacting something like again (since trump ended it) would probably be at the top of the next Dem's agenda reuters.com/world/biden-issue-order-targeting-jewish-settler-violence-wbank-politico-2024-02-01

There's just no way you seriously think any establishment Democrat is putting anything anti-Israel at the top of their agenda in 2028
Whoever the Democratic nominee ends up being is going to campaign on changing the names back to Gulf of Mexico and Lake Ontario, taking Trump's name off of the Kennedy Center, and removing all of the gold from the oval office
It's a deeply unserious party with irredeemable leadership. You can't just assume that they are going to magically have good policies

Gavin was smart enough to switch his stance on the billionaire tax
Gavin was smart enough to switch his stance on the billionaire tax
The Democratic Party is busy chumming it up with Jared Kushner and condemning Hasan Piker while Joe Rogan, Tucker Carlson, and Marjorie Taylor Greene are becoming the voices of reason against Israel and Trump's escalating insanity and you genuinely think we've got any chance of getting a democratic president, not even necessarily a good one, in 2028
Completely out of touch with reality
Newsom is another s***ty candidate by the way. Smarmy opportunist with plenty of skeletons in his closet for Republicans to find and use against him. Plus he's pro-Israel so he's a nonstarter for leftists
The Trump digs are cute but let's get serious
I forget I'm talking to someone who voted for Xavier "Chevron" Becerra over the M4A supporting, climate change acknowledging candidate running against him in the primary

that slimy mf switches stances on every damn issue whenever it suits him politically. he called israel an apartheid state one day and then said he loved israel like 3 days later. f*** that spineless hack.

Yeah he's got no shot. A major reason for Kamala Harris losing is that voters found her to be totally disingenuous and hollow with no real stances or views, just whatever she thought sounded good at the time. Newsom is the same exact same way and his being a good looking white man makes no difference
I can respect that he has a real hatred for Trump but that just simply isn't enough to satisfy voters (and rightfully so.)
for any fellow californians itt, yall probably saw newsom got caught with his pants down the last couple weeks tryna secretly bail out socal edison for the palisades fire before his legislative term ends this month.
look behind the scenes and you'll see that he's pro capitalist neoliberal scum just like the rest of em. the only difference between newsom and trump is that newsom pretends to care about minorities and climate change (he actually doesn't)
This will prob be something like the 2016 field, with a massive platter of scrubs. Hopefully Repubs don’t find their next Trump somewhere in that field
Interested to see who’s the leading third party candidate this time around. The right person may be able to get a good 5% with the rest of the mediocrity
I forget I'm talking to someone who voted for Xavier "Chevron" Becerra over the M4A supporting, climate change acknowledging candidate running against him in the primary
You mean they guy that couldn't beat a British republican in the primary after spending hundreds of millions of dollars?
if given the platform aoc is gonna fold to Bibi just like everyone else
also agreed.
keyword was “yal” cus electoralism aint rly my bag.
I also think you guys are underestimating how much people want a return to normalcy and not have to wake up to bullshit like this every day

Post wasn’t real

I'm not saying Steyer was a perfect candidate, but in a primary against a guy who cozies up to republicans, is bought and paid for by big oil, and is pro-data center, the progressive was the pretty obvious choice
I obviously wish the party as a whole would shift to the left, but more than anything I wish people would stop voting for establishment dems whose only liberal policy is disliking Trump, especially when actual progressives are on the ballot.

Ah yes the "ethical billionaire"

They will just nominate whoever gets Trump's endorsement, likely Rubio and he'll be a strong candidate by default
The only way that doesn't happen is if Trump somehow dies before the RNC and unfortunately we aren't that lucky
Ah yes the "ethical billionaire"
Ethical in a vacuum? Maybe not. Ethical compared to Becerra? 100%. Running a largely self-funded campaign makes that the case pretty much by default
How can you call yourself a progressive yet be so smug when defending your votes for establishment democrats? I just don't understand. They are not looking out for you or for the country. They're looking out for Israel and their corporate donors. Voting for them is exactly how you get democratic leadership that is more concerned with disavowing leftists than the fascist administration that controls every facet of our federal government.

I seem to remember the Trump co-sign not being as strong as it used to be
I also just don’t trust Vance or Rubio to not make some public faux pas (like one that their demos would consider embarrassing) with how goofy their personalities are. Definitely hard to believe that they’ll look as “powerful” as Repubs consider Trump to look on stage
