Hurricane and off the grid aren’t even top 30 Kanye
Probably not even top 40
The Off the Grid beat switch is peak-level Kanye maximalism

I don’t see it. It’s a cool song but Kanye has made way better music
I mean you're right its not top tier Cudi or Ye, but its 2 artists who are clearly past their prime linking up and putting out an amazing project. Its not the 2nd coming of Jesus but with all things considered its a damn good project that'll age better than whatever both of them have dropped within the last few years.
u right
glad we on the same page
I wonder how you feel about 90s rap then
It was different back then.
Now we see rappers being directly connected to murders and genocidal acts ie lil Durk, king von, tay k, Pooh Shiesty, Melly.
Niggas making viral songs about smoking dead opps
The 90's wasn't like that at all
Y'all gonna hate this take too, but street rap kinda ruined hip hop for me. When actually murders and psychopaths rose to the top it lost me
lowkey
thats why i dont listen to that typa s*** as much as i used to
There was good s*** then but it hasn't held up long term imo.
Astroworld engineering is horrible, DAMN. is pretty boring, Kanye solo stuff was wack, Black Kray does Carti better than Carti, Griselda good but I'm reaching for Nas/Jay/Wu Tang/Biggie if I'm in that kind of mood more often than not, Tyler and Brockhampton type s*** isn't my thing but it's objectively good, Uzi is ok but nothing special, post-2015 Future and Drake are definitely not for me, DaBaby makes the same song over and over, Migos peaked 4 years ago, etc
post ONE good black kray song

Relevance maybe, but it was brought back not via music but rather via marketing and aesthetic antics (and it's not like Kanye has ever lost his relevance altogether to begin with)
Musical ability? Hell no, he dropped a bloated mess of an album with like 3-4 actually great songs, everything else ranges from subpar (Kanye music wise) to mid to trash, production is subpar for Kanye, bars and flows are still inconsistent throughout, etc etc
I respect your opinion, hopefully you love the next album as much as I love donda.
Kids see ghost was mid bro
And I’m saying this as a huge Cudi fan and kanye is my favorite artist
Agreed.
lowkey

Depends on the street s*** tbh
If it's funny or like an actually insightful album I'm bout it. Dre and Snoop are goofballs on their best works and Mobb Deep and Biggie have aged remarkably. Three 6's expansion of gangsta rap into a horror flick was amazing too, v creative

It's just more in your face nowadays because of social media but if you fr think that rappers in 90s weren't connected to murderers and other grimy acts like that, that most likely is just wrong

Still always in for new Kanye
Man's unpredictable so who knows how will his next s*** sound
Hurricane, Believe What I Say, and Off the Grid are in the top 20 all time Kanye tracks discussion
Dam this peak delusion. Donda goat but mostly because he dropped a bunch of mid after tlop. Doesn't come close to his classic run.

I mean yea niggas was in streets but had the decency to not put it on records.
Also those rappers back then had creative integrity. Cinematic inclinations.
These niggas rap in IG captions and confess actual crimes.

Yeah i feel you on this one
Like in 90s even when that s*** was put on wax, it was portrayed in more of a dark light
Nowadays a lot of times s*** sounds like a flex
I may actually be wrong but yeah
Hurricane, Believe What I Say, and Off the Grid are in the top 20 all time Kanye tracks discussion
Also another reason the early 2010's was GOAT is due to the internet truly exploding. Everything was new frontier
We done seen everything
