Getting on a soapbox and writing off the entirety of a genre in a certain time period (by only listing the most popular acts as examples) does not make you someone who’s “telling it like it is” or someone who’s taste is above the rest like you think it does
It shows youre just as much of a spoonfed, mass-marketed, billboard chart junkie as Twitter pop stans. You’re just pretentious about it
How do you think those who actually listen to more than artists who are in the top 10 on the charts feel? Those who really delve into the genre on every level and discover great music in the underground and in between? Why the hell would they agree with you saying all of the genre should be done away with just because your blockbuster albums you wait to be shoved down your throat don’t satisfy you enough?
And this is for everyone who says a period of hiphop sucks because they project their limited taste onto everyone else:
You don’t really care about hiphop. You like radio music and that’s okay but be honest about where your grievances truly lie instead using the entire genre as a shield to potential criticism about how limited your taste is - which you couldn’t run away from this time
KSG is one of my favorite albums oat but that period of time had a lot of good albums
Also I like the Soundcloud era and the emo rap era a lot
Hurricane, Believe What I Say, and Off the Grid are in the top 20 all time Kanye tracks discussion

- BRAVEThis post needs to be an automated response to any music sxn thread that says "Damn this years sucks for music"
Only big names should be used in discussing how good a year was
always gonna be some fire dropping in the underground scene, but more than likely a year being good cause of a Kanye album means a lot more than cause Freddie Gibbs dropped
Many of you have just got trash taste and will have to reconcile with that
But for us that don't, we continue to feast year on year
KTT hates KSG?
this site has fallen off something tremendous ffs
don’t think anyone “hates” ksg but its by FAR the most overrated project in both of their discography

- BRAVENigga said “Go the FUCK back to Twitter, normie!”

If the only stand out in rap for you was KSG u arent a rap fan
Nigga said “Die Lit? More like Die S***”
For the longest I thought all this Kids See Ghosts love was a meme
It’s a Kid Cudi and Kanye collab project and it delivered somewhat. The hype makes sense
Definitely could’ve been better though, but for the music those two guys were making at that time it was solid
There was good s*** then but it hasn't held up long term imo.
Astroworld engineering is horrible, DAMN. is pretty boring, Kanye solo stuff was wack, Black Kray does Carti better than Carti, Griselda good but I'm reaching for Nas/Jay/Wu Tang/Biggie if I'm in that kind of mood more often than not, Tyler and Brockhampton type s*** isn't my thing but it's objectively good, Uzi is ok but nothing special, post-2015 Future and Drake are definitely not for me, DaBaby makes the same song over and over, Migos peaked 4 years ago, etc
Damn is boring
Request a mute, please
