Apr 17, 2025I tried all the popular ones after they shut down Google Play Music, came back to Youtube Music because they all sucked and didn't have the selection
plus it has all my old liked songs from GPM.It's put me on to so many songs and artists from just creating radios off my favorite songs. Although it does tend to trap you by showing you the same songs you been listening to, it sometimes hides away old classics that you completely forgot about. The shuffle has gotten better in recent times too tbh.

FeverMy friend with YouTube music is constantly putting songs with trash quality on aux from it from random ass uploads
I have plenty of CDs and stuff for higher quality, I don't care about steaming loss/flac, I only care about that level for like post rock and certain electronic albums
I already have YouTube premium, but I prefer Spotify for a lot more reasons stemming from accounts and actual people I know and follow. Organization is far better for example. Not to mention the decade+ playlists I curate

This is only thing I would critique on YouTube music. Maybe it's because I have a cracked apk, but in the created playlists it uses the music video versions of a lot songs. So sometimes some playlists are useless to me

when i use yt music it always plays the album/cdq version even if i put the music video version in my playlist
i have to click the little audio/video tab in the player if want to play the music video version on yt music app

Ah that makes sense. Playing a Carti leak is like technically a video vs an official audio stream, so it loop in more videos.
