You just refresh the page when the ad starts and then there’s no ad when the video loads
if you're watching on the TV or mobile, that's where premium comes in handy

TV I get but the refresh thing works on mobile for me. I don’t use the app though
My friend with YouTube music is constantly putting songs with trash quality on aux from it from random ass uploads
I have plenty of CDs and stuff for higher quality, I don't care about steaming loss/flac, I only care about that level for like post rock and certain electronic albums
I already have YouTube premium, but I prefer Spotify for a lot more reasons stemming from accounts and actual people I know and follow. Organization is far better for example. Not to mention the decade+ playlists I curate
probably your friend is playing the songs uploaded by fans, not the official upload
when you search in youtube music the first results will alwayb be from the streaming platform itself, but if you scroll a bit it will show you the results from the video platform also, so it's easy to get confused with it

I used to have a private thread on here where id post long videos to watch on mobile w/o ads
foobar is worse in that regard -- much worse, in fact, lol.
i use foobar for file conversions, people use it as a library??
mfs will spend endless money on booze and cigarettes and overpriced clothes and drip but wont shell out for yt premium
y’all not using torrents?
torrents for music is my last resort, just use deemix

soulseek is pretty great

They're either pulling up obscure s*** not in the music catalog or they're dumb and clicking YouTube links when they should be selecting the Music file
agree
for casual listening youtube music works great. the slight quality differences between platforms really don’t matter unless you have a high-end audio setup
most ppl listen to music with airpods / bluetooth headphone they don't hear the difference between the platform lmao
that true, for leaks there's the 'untitled' app, very underrated
You know ball. My untitled mixtape collection is starting to rival my old LiveMixtapes account. Great app.
Preach @op
The greatest music app for music old and new. It's almost like a ancient library but in a digital fabric
Bro said he only listen to music in the whip or on his broken ass headphones
I do! I'm not ashamed of my priorities in life rn
where do you reliably get your new music releases from (assuming you're not buying everything)? i miss plus premieres
Some people already said it above but soulseek is a good one. Russian torrent sites are probably good too but I haven’t used torrents in a long time so
