Top 2 are unquestionably liquid swords and OB4CL. As far as that third spot, for me it’s either supreme clientele or Ironman but Tical is also in the running. All 5 of those albums I could listen to all day
Actually kind of sad Wu-Tang couldn't fully capitalise on the success of 36 Chambers as solo artists, RZA was a poor curator
This is completely false. They were dropping classics with RZA, as solo artists all of them got lost without him except Ghost.

OB4CL and Liquid Swords are the only definitive classics from phase one with Ironman and Return of the 36 Chambers being arguable, by the end of phase 2 the hype had died down, and only Ghost and Meth had strong mainstream followings. It could've been done a lot better. And the the best rapper in the clan is had an almost nonexistent solo career, granted it was in part due to circumstances beyond their control.
tical
ob4cl
liquid swords
Don’t hate Tical but I would probably sub it out for either Return (“Brooklyn Zoo” is one of my favorite hip-hop songs ever) or Clientele (although “Clipse of Doom” off Fishscale might be my favorite Ghostface song).

It could've been done a lot worse. You're being too critical tbh. I've studied RZA for years and he's a f***ing genius.
Liquid Swords
Only Built 4 Cuban Linx...
Bobby Digital in Stereo
Wow respect to anyone who rangs bobby digital that high, definitely underrated
tical was my first solo wu album. it'll always be a personal favorite of mine. i've defended that album more times than i can remember
Some of RZAs best beats ever on that too
ghostdini the wizard of emerald city
Lmao Big Doe Rehab
Pretty Toney album aint too bad tho

Not implying he's not a genius, just feel his curation of the Wu after Wu-Tang Forever was meh.
Although phase 1 was actually well since now I think about it in relation to other hip-hop collectives is great
I would smack you tho
So wassup?
lol u don’t know what ur getting urself into bud

Phase 2 was more about promoting their affiliates and strengthening Wu as a brand.

your top 3 phase 2 albums?
Supreme Clientele
Ob4cl
Liquid Swords
But I have a warm spot for Tical in my heart
I would switch Supreme Clientele with Ironman

That's good way to frame it tbh, phase was when they released Wu-Wear?
your top 3 phase 2 albums?
If Supreme Clientele and Wu Tang Forever don't count:
Blackout
N word Please
Beneath the Surface
H.M: Gravediggaz' sophomore
Meth was a beast on Tical 2000, its only fault was the skits.. a victim of its era.
Bobby Digital in Stereo was decent, to me RZA is incredible for a feature, but as a solo rapper his style can get boring.
All those albums were dope (only Blackout is arguably a classic tho). Rae's sophomore and Deck's debut were huge letdowns sadly.
OG Wu stans love those early Killarmy and LA the Darkman albums but I never bumped them like that. I respect them tho. Shyheim had some good s*** as well (Meth ghostwrote his s*** 😂).
On4cl
Liquid swords
Big gap betwern the others
What? Have you never listened to Ghosts solo stuff?
