very interesting.
Shocking
Also i think they shoulda got a diff white lady to play Emma stone part maybe the girl in Pluribus or the girl in succession or the girl in severance
Rhea Seehorn? Instead of Emma Stone? Get real
People seem to be gelling more with this though tbh.
Debating on if I should go with someone to see this or solo it. Is it intense/gory with some action or fairly slower paced?
Intense AF but better with a friend so y'all can discuss
Shocking
i was very…. meh immediately after but i think i like it now and did enjoy myself

Someone help me out here so the andromedans want to prevent ecological collapse on earth so they pose as the CEO of basically Amazon x Purdue Pharma and decide humans need to die to save the world. Like no, Amazon x Purdue Pharma is destroying the world. That s\*\*\* needs to die then maybe the bees will come back. S*** made no sense I feel like the movie completely falls flat around Emma Stone' characters motivations

The andromedans are not omnibenevolent, they simply have the upper hand and act upon their will. “I’m a winner, and you’re a loser, and that’s f\*\*\*ing life”

It's clearly a movie that wants you to think about it
This was pretty good
ok this was cool very great acting from emma stone and jesse plemons also aidan delbis was very good for it being his first role great to see an actor with autism n that prepresentation we rarely see in feature films. overall was goiod not great considernig we got OBAA, Eddington etc this year this not near that level of cinema or even anywhere near poor things the story is just quite flat couple problems 1 why did aidans character kill himself that seemed randon there had been no of suicide or killing himself to go to the aliens 2 yeah she was revealed as an alien but that thats it the film finishes we dont get to see her playing out this masterplan or living in that space (fucking up humans as a CEO planning like a villian from her CEO office etc.) she just goes into the spaceship everyone wearing drippy baggy streetwear the end felt as an audience member i felt shortchanged. visually nice but not anywhere near as stunning as poor things was a bit too wordy slow in parts not enough action but cool not a must watch tho
My thoughts on your questions:
1) he killed himself to get transported into space. Plemons character also brought a gun to blow his brains out but his bomb went off before he could do it. Judging from how he was right about everything else I’d assume this was also the right way. 2) Didn’t Emma Stone character say they weren’t trying to kill humanity humans are doing that themselves, they were trying to save it. Then in space she gave up on them
I could’ve misinterpreted tho I just finished watching and haven’t sat with it much yet
on 3rd viewing I feel like this is my least favorite out of the Yorgos x Emma saga but still a great watch

Based off my enjoyment of the movies not Emma’s performance I’d rank them:
Favourite
Poor Things
Bugonia
Kinds of Kindness
