Crazy how much role production and mixing plays in elevating the vocal performance too.
People were clowning Rich The Kid on the original Carnival version and now he's getting so much praise.
When I tune into this 20 dollar stream to hear an album I’ve spent around 35 dollars on multiple copies of >>>>>
There's like barely max 2 sentences of jews bars in the entire album
"Got jews on my staff now' (pro Jewish employment)
"Crazy, bipolar, antisemite" (he's saying what y'all have labeled him as)
"How am I antisemitic I just f***ed a Jewish b****" (pro humanitarian)
Yeah technically, this was more tongue in cheek than “disrespectful”
That’s just rapper s***, so I don’t mind.
Ye and JIK both biggest missed opportunities in Ye's career album wise
The insane amount of potential in those albums were not fulfilled
Yikes song of the life but rest can go in the trash
Yikes could've been a classic
Come To Life and Jesus Lord, 24 type things are emotionally "try hard" if not technically. like it must be emotionally exhausting to put pack that much into one song.
Yup and I'm not faulting him for adding some more fun and less tryhard tracks in the midst of it all. But if he reallllly wanted to go tryhard the album would've been ye's most emotional and fragile by far.

At least JIK has amazing, rich production. You can tell ye was rushed and made in like 3 weeks. And it's not the focused 3 weeks that 808s got
How do we know he's re-recording the verse
There was a video of him not too long ago re-recording the verse.
I saw it on a Youtube video, if I can find the video, I'll post it

Don't think that's the case with either album.
There's musical shortcomings for sure, but as far as being time capsules of exactly who he is in that moment, I don't really think they could be any better. There's a genuine sincerity to them that I miss in his more recent music.
