Like games we play has drums on it but it’s just a drum break and it sounds really thin. It’s not that I’m saying it doesn’t have a banging 808, it’s just that the actual Sonics of it seem like there’s no low end or even mid range present, it’s so thin
Probably because alc gets his samples from vinyl, the Daytona beats sounded like YouTube samples, there’s just a very clear “ thin” sound to the beats
Saying daytona has no or less low ends than something like voir dire is just factually incorrect lol you can load up both albums into some daw and check the spectrogram yourself
Compare sentry to infrared. Like that "thin" critique is something commonly used against that whole drumless scene, 808s aside
