Because I’ve never heard an alc or madlib beat that’s more basic than Infrared. The thing is, when they make loop beats, they at least throw some sound effects or filters or drops in there. I never heard them make anything as basic as Infrared or as blatantly cheap and terrible as What Would Meek Do

Daytona is a simpler production than anything alc or madlib have done. There are less layers on each beat
