2wordsAfter about a decade, you can start to question if it’s an artistic choice or a bad habit or something. I think it’s kind of lazy at this point. It was cool for Yeezus and TLOP but it got tired
thats true. i mean i agree its kinda lazy now, its just wild for me to see ppl react to these type lines today the same way ppl reacted 10 yrs ago w yeezus.

album is clearly unfinished and won't be dropping friday, alot of the production apart from that everything song was really good to me, hooks all nice, but it needs work
it's in a better spot as of right now than donda 2 was or donda 1 at the first atlanta show
that was peak meltdown mode and he somewhat salvaged that, it'll be fine
not sure why anybody would expect an instant 10/10 classic with great kanye rapping on a ty dolla sign collab album

The fact he came with mostly finished verses and no Sunna wunna s*** aside from the MP3 2018 Rip of New Body was pretty impressive to me.

Vultures made me kinda feel bad for him because it came from this dark place and that wasn’t the kinda music I listen to Ye for. But from what I’ve heard so far it doesnt have that al the way through. It’s well contrasted, really excited for the release

Dec 12, 2023·2 replieseverybody is definitely the only song i walked away from thinking it's legitimately garbage. the song needed high energy verses to keep the momentum of the hook going, instead you get kanye and lil baby awkwardly fumbling their way over the bare bassline.
it's probably the most unsatisfying listening experience i've had in my life for what's supposed to be a triumphant comeback song.

im not saying the vulgar bars have excellent wordplay or whatever but they can be rlly fun and can add something extra to that moment in the song. my point is that Ye isn't going into the booth thinking "damn im boutta spit some knowledge" and coming up w s*** like "eating asian p**** all i need is sweet n sour sauce". he's obviously going for crude, vulgar, and shocking on purpose.
U can take issue w that as an artistic choice, but i think its a sign of undeveloped taste when u think its just a matter of him not being able to write something more traditionally good.
