Ye does not give a single f*** anymore. All he drops is unfinished music, AI videos, and boring Vultures merch

I know Ye stans will defend this somehow, but Ye has objectively gotten lazy af. His heart is just not in it anymore

Man he's been in the game for so long now, does it even matter at this point?

the way people calling out AI reminds me exactly of how guys used to diss autotune when it was first used, people forget how much it was hated at the time

    not even remotely the same

It is tbh, it's still legit vocals that are passed through an AI filter, no difference tbh

    no it isnt.

and ai isnt just a filter, you can literally make it out of thin air. which is why his 2nd verse sounds like its a whole different thing from th recording to the space to the pronounce.

ai is not a filter nor an effect.

There's been plenty of cases of people using AI as a filter, which at the end will still sound like AI.

As long as the song is good I don't really see the issue.

It doesn't really matter anymore because people will only remember his classics and his iconic run in the music industry when it's all said and done but it's still bittersweet what is happening since 2022

That's what I mean, no one will care once he's gone.

Plus everything I've heard from Bully sounds solid so not sure why people are crying.

Yeah dude a vocal effect is totally the same as having a program cook your vocals up with no effort on your part. Are you stupid or something

People can put tons of effort into a track and it can still be trash so it means nothing in reality.

Just take it for what it is at this point.

remember when this guy did literally anything and everyone collectively stopped to see and witness it because it used to matter?

It’s sad now, but remember he made people collectively “stop to see and witness it” for what — 10, 12 years straight?

Don’t cry because it’s over smile because it happened bro

The problem is that he will have a hard time clearing those samples — one of the reasons why Vultures 1 and 2 are so f***ing messy because the industry doesn’t care about him anymore (rightfully).

Everything we heard sounds solid of course but we all know it’s either 1. not coming out at all or 2. it will come out drastically different and way worse than we thought

the ai is not a filter lol idk why you keep saying this its false and not even whats happening with AI creation

its taking your input then creating its own, it is not pitting or transforming the original signal - which again is why the AI verse has totally different acoustics and space and recording

an effect and autotune is literally using the original piece while the AI is not, the AI is only using the original piece as a reference

you can call it a "filter" for laymens terms but its not the truth at all

That's what happens when you go independent sadly but it still seems like he cares about the music at least.

Well we don't actually know 100% how it was made.

I heard the Carti verse on that Weeknd track was placed through an AI filter and it sounds fine.

This is just where tech is at right now, and I'm sure there will be more creative ways it'll be implemented in music in the future.

I get what you mean but it’s more about him going full nazi and saying that he loves Hitler without really apologizing for that until today.

His legacy is so massive that even him being independent wouldn’t change the fact that almost every artist would clear their samples easily for him. He also has enough money. Pomme was the latest example of this, she admired him in the past but she will never clear anything for him because… 2022 happened.

Yeah it's sad but most can see it's due to his disorder.

Either way I'm sure this album will be fine just like his last solo album (donda) was.

idk why you keep vringing up quality as wekk whenb ive said nothing about that

and again actual AI is not a filter, idk how many times i have to say this as someone that has worked with AI before as an audio engineer

a filter is till using the original source

AI is creating a whole new source altogether thats literally the basis of AI and same with the weeknd track which again why the demo and final are different in every way as a sound source

AI is not adding onto the sound that is already, it is creating a new sound altogether

if it was a "filter" it would be the exact same sound on terms of space and acoustics

this is why its nowhere near the same as effects or filters like autotune and why its being used in different practices

carti's ai vocals has different pronunciations, delivery and space while still trying to sound like a dry signal - just like the kanye 2nd verse here

That vocal effect cut out allot of hard work. Now you don’t have to be a good singer to sound good. And just as AI, autotune can be used badly.

There’s def a big similarity between the two but yo can keep looking at the trees instead of the forest.

At the same time this seems like a huge leap in technological advancement in general (not just music) and def does have this ominous unforseeable future, so yeah comparing autotune to AI seems dumb, but musically there seems to be a pattern

I'm just saying I don't think it matters for us as consumers.

AI or not it doesn't matter as long as you enjoy it.

It's only going to become more popular & advanced going forward.

Imagine listening to hip-hop and not caring whatsoever about authenticity

You probably don't care how the streaming services are already using AI to replace smaller artists, or how those smaller artists were already getting paid pennies for streams, all because your Spotify Smart Shuffle keeps getting catchier

AI for vocals ain't a big deal man, still gotta write the lyrics, produce the beat, compose etc.

Plus it still needs to sound good for people to actually want to listen.

I'm only referring to AI usage within making music.
