I think the fact he scrapped YANDHI and DONDA shows that he isn't trying to occupy Drake's space musically, instead he makes personal albums that he really loves instead of trying to chase a sound
Damn I just keep articulating s***tily lol, I don’t think he is trying to take that space either. I’m just saying that I think that sound would have taken that space and they would be on completely equal planes musically, probably more leaning towards Ye with the way Drake was getting memed/hated on during 2019 era Yandhi hype
What I was saying about if he continued working with chyi/Ye lyrics Desiigner flows Yandhi production, he’d be in Drakes space musically
That’s not a Drake v Ye meme either just the best example Drake is on top
Speaking of desiigner if “Outlet” was Travis’ song niggas would be at his f***ing feet

Yeah he could've been I guess but I think it's pretty clear that's not his direction
I can't imagine LP10 will be a return to that either, I think we'll get another personal album

I agree , however I do think based off of Future Bounce , if he stays anywhere near that space we’re getting some luxury/triumphant sounds on there, compared to the soft and (in a mostly good way) almost mundane sounds on JIK (minus 2-3 of em)
TGFD actually ruined yeezus for me I hate it I hate it I f***ing hate it
Lol right that would have been a wayy better title
f***

It would’ve done too much, Yeezus alone was enough to shock, compare it to the rumored Love Everyone with the out of pocket lyrics, he changed it because the TMZ moment was enough so he redid it. Ye really follows a pattern as far as you go back it’s weird when people say he changed so much. They’re just judging him off of media trained interviews vs Ye being Ye in interview

No not that thinking about how I’ll never hear bound 1, 15 minute on sight, or Travis I’m in it
Every time I queue up a song I just get sad now

Oh yeah i agree, although they cut off too much stuff
I just want to hear it. The wondering every time I hear yeezus is too much it hurts my brain.
In the case of LE though, the final version wasn’t that provocative and looked like a much better album than ye

Yeah idk too much about Love Everyone other than DJ Khaled son, I just can’t help but love Yeezus for nostalgia of listening to it in the library skipping class lol

It’s one of my favorite albums oat which is why it sucks I can’t just run it through
The final LE tracklist was like
1. Untitled (feat. Pardi B & A$AP Rocky)
2. Brothers (feat. Charlie Wilson)
3. XTCY (feat. Ty Dolla $ign)
4. Skeletons (feat. Travis Scott)
5. Good (feat. Pusha T)
6. Lift Yourself (feat. Pusha T)
7. Don’t Play With That Boy
And then there’s other tracks from other cuts of the album like moonlight interlude, DJ Khaled son, lovey, fine line, I know

You can go back way further than that. Every scrapped album since Yeezus he was sound chasing on.
