Assuming Designer laid the reference for Ye’s City In The Sky verse, I have complete sympathy for the way he speaks on the Yandhi process and how he was thrown to the side. Him writing for Ye more and more I think would’ve finally got Ye smooth current trap flows that he’s been chasing since the early 2010s

why would you assume he laid a reference when Ye already his own verse on there, and Desiigner's part is just repeating the refrain/chorus

Because that’s 100% a designer flow, on a song that hes on, on an album that he worked on, Plus I’ve never heard Ye use that flow before.
I think we can agree at the very least he was inspired by future or designer for that verse

I think the fact he scrapped YANDHI and DONDA shows that he isn't trying to occupy Drake's space musically, instead he makes personal albums that he really loves instead of trying to chase a sound
